The Show Must Go On

IMGP8103

As you probably know already if you follow me on the social networks, last Monday had to take one of the toughest decisions so far of my life, put to sleep my cat Leon who was sick since 2 weeks without hopes of recovering.

It was a very sad moment, but I forced myself to think that without my help, that cat would have lived a much shorter life. He was 8 years old, and is one of the many I rescued time ago.

an image of Leon a few weeks after I found him, as you can see from the mucus coming out of his nose he was quite sick

If I was able to take care of him for all those years, paying for his food and the medical cures, was also thanks to people who buy my games. Thank you! 🙂

The Show Must Go On

I want to think about positive things now. The show must go on, and there’s nothing better than some scenes from my upcoming comedy title Roommates to cheer me up!

roommates01Isabella giving life lessons to (poor) Anne
roommates02Dominic seems slightly annoyed at Isabella…
roommates03Rakesh should really follow Anne’s advice…!

I don’t know yet the exact release date of the game but shouldn’t take much longer, first quarter of 2014 for sure! Stay tuned for more news on the next games in the coming weeks.

On the other hand, it must have been great to have had someone caring for him and loving him. 🙂
Cats do know, and to be loved until the last moment is much more than lots of animals can hope for.

Thanks. Yes I was there until the very last seconds of his life (my wife couldn’t stand the sight). Totally heartbreaking for me, but it had to be done 🙂

Im sorry about your kitty, one of my friends had to put down her kitty not to long ago and she couldn’t take being there. Just know that your little friend is up in heaven playing with other cats and waiting for you to return to play with him.

I’m sorry, so deeply sorry, I have gone through this once… our eleven years old french poodle mini toy Lynda has cancer, doctors told my Dad treatment would be costly and there was no certainty she would recover, and my Dad decided to put her down before consulting with the rest of the Family, it was very hard, and for a lot of time I was angry with my dad because I would have payed without batting an eye, Lynda was with my family since and was 13 to 24 and she slept on my room, having the love of a pet, is one of the greatest treasures on earth, they always wait patiently for you, they are always happy to see you and they just keep loving you, I’ll should cut this short before I start crying, I admire you a lot, God bless you and may Leon be with him.

Yes, it’s always hard to take such decisions 🙁 but I think that when there’s no hope is better to do that than see our beloved pet suffer. In my case the cat could barely walk and wasn’t eating anymore since a day, was starving, so was forced to take this decision.

So sorry to hear that. *hug* But I know he was loved until the very end. It really touches my heart that you take care of so many. It’s never easy, unfortunately life moves on but they will always stay forever in our hearts. We will all meet our loved ones again in the end, I really want to believe that.

Roomated looks really great, can’t wait to try it out.

I’m so sorry to hear this news. In a few days it’ll be a year since I had to put down my own furry baby. He was my very best friend, and while it still hurts, I know he’s smiling down on me from the Rainbow Bridge, just like your little one is. Can’t wait for this game, and wish the best for you and your family.

Hello I just wanted to say that it was very brave and selfless of you to put your kittys needs first and let him sleep. I know how heartbreaking that is you have my deepest sympathy. That you took him into your home and loved and cared for him changed his world. He was a very lucky cat to be cherished so much. I hope that with time the memories of the time spent together with him will be a comfort to you and your family.

We lost one of our cats to feline leukemia–the actual cancer, not the virus–when he was 8 1/2. I spent a night sharing a bed, him unable to rest or move, only breathing and watching me. I will never regret taking him in to the vet to be put to rest the following morning.

You did well, caring for him all those years, and then letting him go when the pain became too much.

I’m sorry for your loss. I love cats, they are awesome companions.

As for your screenshots of Roommates I think the backgrounds colors might be to vibrant. In the first screenshot all of the colors in the bedroom almost demand equal attention as the characters on the screen, which isn’t a good thing since the characters should be the main focus of the game.

But that’s just my opinion. It’s a good looking game.
