Fantasy RPG game with comic style art

character screen

This is the very first version:

I want to post the updates to it on this thread. I think will be fun to see how is going to be changed each new version. Actually I cheated already, since the first one had the characters waist up on the left but was taking too much precious space! I want to have everything in one screen, except for the currently selected skilltree.
The mess on the right is only to see that the skilltree is displayed correctly, it will be replaced soon with a nice icon set 8)

Awesome, this is like the comic style you did promise, akin to the DC series :)

And holy cow, Loren is a babe! Is she an amazon or just a warrior princess? Which I am very cool with :D

Graphical updates to skills will be cool too. I wonder what are those red and blue dribs.

Cheers.

Haha sweet, can't wait, artist and you got my praises :D

And nice, those indicators will help make things helpful, neat too :)

If you wanted to do real time, go for it if you can, else you know best!

Can't wait for more teasers too

Cheers

I'm going to do some tests and see what works better, but probably real-time is going to be a bit too hard (after 6 months spend on coding Planet Stronghold I need to relax a moment!)

this is a mockup done by the artist. I like it a lot, obviously the right box will probably need to be enlarged a bit, but the layout is very nice. I hope at end of month to have finished all game design for this game (and also hope the coder finished the RPG framework classes) so I can tell him exactly what I need displayed in this screen 8)

Beautiful. Definitive layout, nice character portfolio, and a graphical layout for the skill tree, making it look grandiose.

The background colour suits the story too. I like how you colour the character that is highlighted.

A tiny quip. Can the small mugshots be all of the smiling look? Much like our Heroine Loren :D

When is this game coming so I can give you my moneeeeeeeeeeey.

Yes true, Elenor face seems a bit angry now that I notice it, and doesn't look right! :D

Lol I'm working on it! But I really don't think before this Autumn/Fall. Luckily in the meanwhile will have Spirited Heart expansion out and *maybe* even Planet Stronghold one, if the artist works on missing sprites 8)

another big improvement! On the right the screen will change based on your current selection (the three icons on top: inventory, skilltree and quests). As you can see there are several equippable item slots... I wonder why I put them since the game won't have an inventory?
I'm joking, I changed my mind and I'm going to make a proper RPG with inventory. Just don't expect to see 15,000 different items like in many MMORPG!

On one hand, if you feel you're up to it, I see no problem. On the other, I was looking forward to hugging one crossbow the whole game and adding upgrades...

Aw, well. You can't always get what you waaaaaaaant...
