Playing the game a bit-Few Questions

Postby deathknight1728 » Sun Jan 15, 2012 7:27 pm

I figure that id give the game which is also one of winter wolves rpg's a shot. Its actually a pretty interesting concept for a rpg. Im a little confused though on a few things.

1-which mode is good to start with, im not really sure what to do and the tutorial isnt clear.

2-What do the stats do? Im pretty sure that wisdom enables you to cast more spells, but willpower says that it protect my creatures from spells. Does that mean regular attacks from enemies or actual abilities of enemies?

3-How do i keep items from breaking? I lost an item and dont know what i did to do that.

4-How does the one stat make your spells stronger? Does that mean that your creatures attacks are stronger or their special abilities, or is it just for your spells in duel mode?

Does remind me a bit of planet stronghold and magic the gathering.

Heh it's one of my oldest games, made in 2005, but I still think is fun if you like card rpg games. About your questions:
1- gather artifact for sure. Then once you're level 10 or so you can try the tournament and the quests. The quests are the hardest thing!
2- Wisdom impacts the mana pool, willpower protects from enemy abilities, though you don't fight against other druid unless you're in the tournament mode
3- the items damage a bit during fights, but a lot if you lose. In general there isn't a way to save permanently the items, you can only avoid them to breaking quickly :) haha sorry about this, but that is a very "hardcore" game!
4- no spells are the one cast by the druid. The creatures (avatar) have a level too. In practice all your avatar starts at level 1, but if you collect several of the same avatar (like the Succubus for example) the creature level increases. If you collect 10 Succubus "stones", your avatar will be level 2. From now on, whenever you summon it in the game you'll summon a Succubus level 2.

Hope that helped!

Ok, what about intelligence and concentration-

-Intelligence says that it makes your spells more useful, that's only in tournament mode as well?

-Concentration im confused on too. Is concentration only make your spells work more during tournaments or is it like intelligence with the above question?

Im just trying to figure out what helps my creatures regarding attributes. It seems that having more mana is the only thing helps. By the way, props go out for making this game a bit tougher. Much more difficult than planet stronghold. But not too hard :)

Edit-I almost forgot, the game doesnt save my character on playing the demo version. This is rectified when you purchase the game?

No, both are useful in any situation. Intelligence makes your spell stronger, so they do more damage, or if are resist-based makes them harder to resist. Concentration instead reduces the spell casting failures: when you cast the spell, if your druid knowledge of that spell is low, you'll have high chances that the spell "fizzles", so you consume a bit of mana but the casting is unsuccessful.

Surely mana is one of the main thing at the early levels, while later even the other have impact. But overall is the creature (Avatar) levels the thing that matters more :)

so the spells of the creature are stronger with intelligence, and have a greater chance of hitting with concentration?

Im sorry this has gone on to so many questions. Im just very interested.

No, the creatures and the druid are separate. The statistics affects only the druid as far as I can remember... I know is my game, but it has been 6 games since I last worked on it :)

Well i couldnt resist. I just purchased this game and so far, like it more than planet stronghold, which might be odd. There are many more tactics to use and air magic is just awesome. I tried earth at first but couldnt get into it. I'd like to use spirit, life and water avatars soon but i have to unlock them i think.

Glad you like it - it's a different game, more gameplay/tactic but zero romance, plot, story :)
