USM 2 Update

Hmm let's see... before the end means in 3 days

I don't think I'll post a beta before that, sorry - I could do it since the match is almost complete but would be useless since there are already a lot of features I know missing.
For example now I'm adding the player selection for set pieces: penalty, freekick, etc. Before the player was automatically picked from the CPU.
But really - have faith, this time is getting very very close! I'll post here in forums the link to beta as soon as is done, promised.

Yes indeed you're very patient

Problem is that this time is really going to be a huge game... virtually no limit about number of leagues, editor, national cups (with international coming later) and so on... so even if many part are done I need to test them, because some now just crash or give crazy results :lol:

AND also have to live my life and take some breaks like this weekend - I hadn't a true holiday in 2 years to make USM2 and other games... :shock:

Hehe good question...! so is real that you didn't have a holiday in 2 years!? seems crazy... here in France we have tons of holidays

Today the stove stop working - all smoke and bad smell around the house, and 16°C here. Really ideal condition to keep working, no?

Just a quick update on USM2. I'm currently facing a development dilemma :shock:

The game with only leagues could be ready very soon - like next week (BETA VERSION of course). But I would love to add at least the national cups (not the international ones yet).
Adding the national cups however might take longer than expected. So what to do? Right now I'm seriously considering to release 1.0 with leagues only - but ensure that you can continue your "career" on the next version with the cup addition (so you don't lose the current progresses).

I think that is the way to go mate. Relese the game so everyone gets a feel for it and then we can add in the updates when they are ready! I cant wait!

Hey you don't need to get out Championshpi Manager 2009! :lol:

just normal league matches for v1.0 will be absolutely fine I think,no?
That way you can get feedback and change other aspect of the game whlie you still can add the cups.

we want to play usm2! :twisted:

I prefer a bugfree version over a version with cups but full of bugs :lol:

Also will we be able to just resume the game with cup added? I mean once the new update is out, we'll have to restart over with a new manager?
