Yes that was a good call :)
Today, while was making a small editor for USM2 (not the official one, I use it internally to edit the match actions) I saw the UPS in action! power fault, but I could continue to work for 21 more minutes... bah is great, I should have got that sooner!!

Well now I'm fixing some bugs and finishing to add all the "text action sequences" in the match. I don't want to say a date... but end of this month could be quite possible! 8)

Now there are the 1st and 2nd leagues of:
Italy
France
Germany
England

and only the 1st one of Netherland (eredivisie). Adding new leagues is only a matter of adding team since as you know we won't surely edit all the player information (there's the editor for that!). So if you know a webpage listing all the teams of Australian league just send it to me and I'll add them too :D

I know that having random players might sucks, but seriously, apart for licensing problems, we would finish the game in 2015 if we start to add all real player names...! ;)

Hmm no real player names..? :(
Why you don't just put fake similar player names like in other games, for example: Ronaldenho instead of Ronaldinho and so on? not very cool I know, but better than see "John Smith" playing in Barcelona...

The official website of the A-League (Australian League) is
www.a-league.com.au

Actually there are only 8 teams so I will name them for you:

Melbourne Victory
Adelaide United
Perth Glory
Queensland Roar
New Zealand Knights
Central Coast Mariners
Newcastle United
Sydney FC

Will you be able to setup the different finals structure?
Also do you need to know which teams are better than others?

Thanks :)
The different finals...hmm don't know if I'll be able to make it in version 1.0 ! I know what you mean, that once the league has finished, like the first 4 teams play direct elimination match (like in a cup).
I have already the algorithm for the cups, I used it in the european cup national leagues (FA Cup, Coup de France, etc) and works, but have to see if I can implement it directly after the league ends.
Even if won't be in 1.0, in a subsequent update for sure, shouldn't be too hard.
For each team I have several attributes, including the home/away shirt design and FAME and FINANCES. Fame is the team popularity, like Manchester United or Barcelona will always have a high fame. It wil influence the player generated by the CPU at beginning of the game. Of course you can edit manually all the player on a team and this will determine if a team is powerful or not.
But if you don't want to edit them manually just put the right FAME value and the CPU will generate the random players accordingly.

would you like me to do a fame and finances for each a-league team for you?

Also the finals are not a direct elimination like cups but I can explain that later!
