If you got her Furs scene, then one of the 4 professions scenes (see romance guide) should automatically trigger when you go to camp in chapter 3 (since you needed 2 hearts to get furs scene and it gives you a +1 heart when viewing, and the professions scenes need 3 hearts).


For the barbarian, you must speak to all of your party members (specifically Dora, Rei, and Amukiki). Assuming you've been to Horus and seen the scene with General Samael.
Sounds like maybe you need to go to camp more often?


Loren - 5/5 hearts... It's possible I missed the "profession" scene... I would have liked to see some more "special" graphics for the romance progression other than just the standard picture and text.

Barbarian - Hmm, non-intuitive... Never would have thought I had to talk to party members (other than maybe Loren) for the main quest line to progress...

I saw Aleema added an explaining line in the plot right now: "You must speak with your party members at camp to continue." I think should be more clear ! :)

I think Jack gets most of his artwork done before writing is finished, or even started, in some cases. Romance cutscenes are purely my design, so asking him to commission more art just because of my whims isn't really fair of me since he has a set budget (and I believe unwise, considering how long the drawing/coloring process takes). Would I love more CGs for the romances? Heck to the yeah. But if the choice is having romance cutscenes without art, or no cutscenes because there is no art, then use your imagination folks! :mrgreen:

About the Krul thing, the Krul cutscene was once again scheduled to only appear once. Its intended behavior was that when you clicked Horus again, it would tell you that you needed to talk to the party members. Since it only happened once, this never comes up. I added the "You must speak to ..." line to the end of the almost explicit exchange telling you to talk to party members and wondered why that was not enough to alert you to go to camp, so I investigated and saw that it cannot be seen in the current version.

About more CGs as Aleema said, it's a matter of costs but also time - sometimes I waited 1 month to get 2-3 CG colored... also in this specific case, until a month ago, I didn't even know that the artist was available to work again ! He was going to work on a japanese manga, but then it got delayed. In the indie world, unless you personally know the artist, you never know what to expect. I have some projects on hold since 6+ months because artist have disappeared or started to slow down a lot, even if I always pay them on time. It's a hard, cruel world :lol:
For future games though things might go differently, since I'm thinking to have the story written FIRST and then commission the art.

Yes, it only happens when I double click. The only option is to use a potion, but when I was breezing through a battle I double clicked out of habit and it did damage. Me: "Wow, Loren has a long reach!"

I'm not sure how to solve the Joking/Friendly/Forceful problem, unless I just put the first line of dialogue from the PC in the choice itself. That's probably what should have happened from the start anyway (I always thought the choices would be converted to smilely faces you click or something), but a lot of the times the responses to what's happening is the same, just different attitudes to accomplish it.


I think that might fix the issue-- the thing is some of the time the choice will be completely different. For example, sometimes being forceful means being rude to Loren or the person she's talking to and sometimes it means acting excited about something. And sometimes joking is fun times for everyone but sometimes the joke is a mean joke. O.O

P.S. you don't need to save before every choice. If you have a mousewheel on your mouse, if you just roll back with it, you can scroll backwards in the text to before the menu choice. You can also do this with the Page Up/Down keys on your keyboard. No saving required!


Aha! I knew that you could scroll, but I had forgotten how. I was trying to use the directional keys and the backspace button because I'm using a laptop and it's hard to scroll, lol. Now I will use the Page Up and Page Down buttons!

To "camp" you go to the map screen. There should be a big ol' Camp button in the top corner (left or right, depending on the version of the game).


I see it now that you pointed it out! I guess I didn't see it because I'm used to looking in the top right because that's where the inventory button is normally. (Since I'm on a PC?)

As far as I know, once you pre-order the game, you can play further than the demo, up to Chapter 4. The game isn't entirely finished, though. Battle voices, more camp dialogues, new graphics and music will likely be added to the game in the future, but the great majority of it is there. This is sort've a beta testing phase.


Buahaha, done and done. I will redownload when it's finished but I got way too into the game to stop at just the demo! Thank you for the tips, I was stuck for a while there!

I might try to just allow closing the equip screen by clicking anywhere except the equipment slots, since indeed it's not immediate to spot the red X ribbon.


I think that would be an awesome idea! That's the first thing I tried, and for a while I was unequipping and reequipping just to get back to the inventory screen, haha.

Yes, the problem is that while the game was still in beta I waited before writing the rules, since I've changed them lots of times. I think now I can start to write them down though, since we're getting close to the final stages!


No problem! :D It would suck to have to rewrite all the rules several times during development. ^^

And also, just a general thank you for always keeping up on the forums and giving responses in a timely manner. It really makes us feel like you're listening to us! I will definitely try to convert my friends to your games. << >>
