USM 2 Update

Soccer management simulation game

Postby jack1974 » Wed Oct 11, 2006 8:11 am

Hm yes, maybe you could try to do it directly with the USM2 editor? so maybe you can even test it. Once the beta version is out you can start to use it and add as many leagues as you want.
But what about the final phase, what are the rules? I want to know if I can make it or if is too much complex

I got this straight off the website for you mate.

Let me know if you understand it! Hopefully it isnt to bad.

Competition Format – Finals Series

The top four (4) teams at the conclusion of the Regular Season will progress to the Finals Series. The Finals Series format will be as follows:

a. Major Semi Finals (matches A1 & A2) – To be played January 26-28 (1st Leg) and February 2-4 (2nd Leg). Will feature teams that finished 1st and 2nd at the conclusion of the Regular Season.

b. Minor Semi Finals (matches B1 & B2) - To be played January 26-28 (1st Leg) and February 2-4 (2nd Leg). Will feature teams that finished 3rd and 4th at the conclusion of the Regular Season. The loser is eliminated.

c. Preliminary Final (match C) – To be played February 11 between Loser A1-2 and Winner B1-2. The loser is eliminated.

d. Grand Final (match D) – To be played Februray 18 between Winner A1-2 and Winner

I look forward to your reply.

Hmm ! yes I understand clearly how it works. I'm not sure if I can add that in version 1.0, probably not (since I want to get it out as soon as possible) but shouldn't be too hard, only problem is that isn't standard - is quite unusual!

Worse scenario I'll custom program it only for the australian league

Is the editor ready to use yet because I would be happy to fill in the Australian team details for you. Just let me know!

Yes well the editor is ready but is integrated in the game, and since I work on the code everyday, could change before the final release :p
Anyway first I want to see if I can include in version 1.0, since there is that final part a bit particular to program.
My goal now is to finish the game before end of the month 8) I'll do all this addition/extra features in the various updates following the main release.

Heh soccer is cool :) I like also boxing though, even if I'm not expert as for soccer. Anyway once it's out you can always try the game, only for bug reporting !
After USM2 is released I'll make an update for UBM, promised.

Thanks,

I appreciate your help with including the Australian league. If you need any help with the league just ask!
