Facially speaking ok, the lower canines could be a little bigger, and he could use a bulkier frame since one trademark characteristic of the Orcs is their massive build, but I still think is a very good depiction and I'm very hyped for it XD

I wasn't criticizing the art so much as commenting on how Orc art in general is moving in the direction of making them both more human-like and more attractive as the years go by. Tolkien's Orcs were hideous looking, and aside from certain variants like the Uruk-Hai which were as big as muscular humans, most Orcs in Middle-earth were smaller than humans. D&D and early computer game Orcs like those in the Might & Magic series were originally very pig-like with tusks, pig-like snouts and a leathery hide. A romantic interlude with such a creature was a thing of horror, not something to be desired.

The same thing happened to elves, to be fair. Elves were historically tiny like fairies, and they were known as pranksters at best, evil at worst. (And the Always Chaotic Evil thing has always struck me as a little screwy.)

Unlike Orcs which were created less than a hundred years ago by Tolkien, Elves go back over a thousand years and have more of a mixed history. Depending on the legend, elves can vary in height from tall to tiny, and many authors who set pen to paper did not differentiate between "elf", "faerie/fairy" and "sidhe". Some authors even equated them to witches or demons.

Pop culture elves, including Santa's elves, Kiebler elves, etc.. are generally shown as being short as were most if not all of Shakespeare's elves. Tolkien's elves on the other hand were tall much like the sidhe of legend, while D&D elves were originally short, but have since become taller.

Initially the artist made a more orc-like version, but honestly with bigger tusks and such they weren't as much as attractive as they are now. Besides, they might even be "half-orcs"...

Thats because orcs and goblins are too awesome, just look at Warcraft, they are best races!

but Odurat is already a half-orc...so they can't be both half-human, half-orc or you will end up with a plot hole.

Not all half-orcs need to look the same, maybe Odurat took more genetic traits from his Human parents and the ones depicted here could take after the Orc parent OR the could even be only 1/4 Human with a half Orc parent and a fully Orc parent.
