Following a suggestion you got some time ago from other users, what about a gladiator/arena battles game?
I think it has potential: first train your fighters in a way similar to UBM, with statistics and such. Then equip them with various item/weapons, and finally enter the arena to fight other gladiators. Even if I don't like it, a multiplayer version would also be interesting in this case.

Consider it seriously pls

Right now I'm planning a wargame, similar to fantasy general. Maybe I could introduce some "training" element you speak of in this one. I'll see.
