Who is the best Love Interest?

I will, for now, withhold casting a vote as I've finished two of the three I'm interested in. And heck, even with just two done, I have a hard time saying if I like Karen or Chambara more. Chambara is a fun character, but Karen's romance path is pretty d'aw all around...

Loren is a nice character too, and it kind of...

Hurt to have to turn her down to keep Karen's path going. I didn't know there could be FIGHTS like that!

I'll probably have to go back a few saves, finish out Loren and then really have to think. Because all three of those routes for Elenor are really nice.

Wow, just now noticed that I'm resurrecting a sleepy thread here. Did most people move on to the Loren 2 forums?

By the way, off topic a bit; I checked out the lineart for a few of the characters appearing in the sequel; they look fantastic so far. Keep doing what y'all are doing. I honestly believe that storytelling in games is something very special that's rapidly declining in favor of cinematics, and that of the games that I've been playing from WW are a very refreshing breath of air. I'll be sure to be making some fanart to hopefully bring you guys some more attention.

And well I'd say this thread is always actual even if of course had the most traffic during the game beta a few months ago. But as creator, we like to get user feedback so we know what character/plot/setting/path/relationship you liked

No, no, by all means, "resurrect" the thread. I really enjoy reading everyone's input on the romances, especially when they don't hate them.

Holy crap! Eeesh, indeed! Though I know what such an adrenaline rush feels like. I get it all the time and refuse to sleep. Not for 72 hours though, lol.

Forceful!Elenor is my favorite Elenor with Rei. Being a harem spy makes it even better. <3

I don't like the violence in Mesphit's path either. I don't find violence romantic and I don't plan on writing a violent love interest again. There are several reasons that the violence was there, but they were very specific to this character and this setting.

Also ... Mesphit's winning! Even beating Loren. I'm really happy so many people bought the expansion!

Obviously maybe there's a good amount of people who never bothered to vote... Obviously maybe there's a good amount of people who never bothered to vote... Chambara's route was pretty nice, although I'm a bit wary to say it's "romantic", as it seems to be more... lust and desire driven, perhaps? Having now done Loren's with Elenor as well... I'm kind of really torn between all three. They all have some really nice good sides... why can't I pick all three!? XD

Yes having to pick just one answer is a bit limiting indeed. When I'll do the poll for the other games I'll probably have several ones: best GxB romance, best BxG romance, and so on. I realized now that the poll is a bit screwed because for example, I don't know from those results what is the favorite romance for lesbian players for example. And that would be important to know, more than a generic "what is the best love interest"

Not to mention, they're all well-written! And it was totally a curveball, to me, that you could actually be PUNISHED for juggling multiple romances at once... tugging at my heartstrings.

Well. I don't find it surprising that you would have a mostly (straight?) female customer base, and if you look at the number of votes vs the number of poster on the forum, there are always a lot of silent voters

Having to pick just one is really difficult indeed, I know I've changed my vote a couple of times over the course of playing the original game, and then when the expansion came out.

Well it can be hard to get accurate detailed information with a simple forum poll, but some of us out there do play your games (although I generally dislike labels, as we shouldn't let our lives be purely defined by them)
I had trouble deciding between Loren and Karen in the game, until the expansion came out and Chamby won me over and got my vote.

As much as I love Chambara, from a purely 'romantic' point of view, I have to say... Karen's is probably the best one I saw. Loren's has some nice feelings to it, but something about Karen's really tugs at my heartstrings.

I personally would say Chambara's "romance" is less romance and more a combination of lust and desire. It's a good route, but I don't get a very romantic feeling from it.
