Well, (I'm only speaking my mind here) the harem girls still are slaves(even though they have, uh, privileges and all, being part of the "Queen's belongings" and all), so they still might rebel against the amazons(and let's face it, if a real rebellion started, one that could put the Queen's life in danger, or even the Cidadel, would have to be plotted by the Harem girls, since they have far more status, are cared upon and "doesnt have many reasons to rebel". Nobody would suspect any of them.) So, to avoid such things, a hight ranking officer/general/captain/or whatever is the amazon patent to Breza's military job, put a mole in the middle of the unsuspecting slaves, one that is loyal and would have no qualms in killing or alerting the Amazons.

(...And for that exact reason, I don't buy that the Harem spy is nothing short of brash and definitely not really a googy-goody character. After all, she would manipulate/befriend the others slaves and if come to an actual rebellion, she would kill the very friends she made out of loyalty to the Amazons.)

Sorry to kind of dig up this old thread, but I had a thought come to mind...

It's mostly about Jul actually. What exactly defines a "succubus" in Aravorn? From what I played, they don't 'work' like the traditional depiction of succubi in mythology. I'll spoiler the rest, to be safe.
Spoiler:
As when you fight her, her powers of seduction work on both genders. Which, generally in mythology, succubi only have power over men, and incubi have power over women. Heck, Jul even has power over Draco who isn't even into women. Is Succubi merely a type of 'class' of Demon with powerful seduction/bewitching magic or something?
I'm probably putting too much thought into this.

Well for the plot she needed to be able to seduce/charm/hypnotize everyone. But while in the traditional mythology succubus can indeed seduce men, nothing forbids her to have special charming skills that works on everyone. But if you notice the one breaking the charm is indeed a woman, Loren, on which probably her powers have less effect. So well yes is a bit different from the "standard" mythology :)

That's kind of what I thought, although a part of me was expecting it to be a fight where only the women could fight.

I'm not sure how Jul works in battles, but in the cinematic, she doesn't necessarily have control over Draco, or even the PC. I did make an effort to see if the characters liked women, it just happens that the majority of them do. When Jul can't seduce, she paralyzes (again, just speaking from a story standpoint). And even if we're not all gay or bi or whatever, we can still be awe-struck with someone's presence, regardless of their gender ... especially if there's magic involved.

But a succubus or incubus is a specific form of demon that comes from the Under-Realm. They're manipulative, not just sexy. They're one of the upper-tiers of demons because they can get what they want. Since Jul will be involved in the sequel, you can expect their nature to be better explored.

Good point, I forgot about that...

Well, as I've said before, can't wait for it! In the mean time, I shall amuse myself by writing... things. Things I must hide from you all, for fear of judgement. *Hides computer documents containing Myrth*

Uren's life story?
The wandering traveler/champion life story? (You need his head, find him the the plains)
Did Karen/Loren/Uren have siblings?
A brief description of Uren's persona and looks?
Her weapon?
Could she use magic like some of the great mothers? (Please say yes!)
How did she wear her hair? (Pony,Bun,Down,Braid,Fishtail:),French:(,Fishtail-french:D,etc)
What were her beliefs?
Did she win any provings?
What made Saren's father believe the Amazons were the best way to win the war?
What position was he in when he made this decision?
Why were there no search parties going after his body if he was such a talented general?
Who was elder druid before Myrth? (NOT Master Pimpledoodle:))
Is the elder druid position earned, inherited?
What are the names and roles of the teacher's at the magic academy?
Does Saren/Elenor have any siblings?
What do you like to think is the cannon class for Elenor and Saren.(Harem, Healer, etc)
Are the any named spells?
