Your Favorite Non-Romantic Party Member

As the title says, which party member was your favorite for NON-romantic reasons? This can include both party members you can't romance, like Ramas, or characters you chose NOT to romance, or even characters you liked even without their romantic elements.

For me, I think I liked Apolimesho best. Sure, he's a sour and racist old man with a chip on his shoulder, but he's quite capable of great self-sacrifice and nobility in the name of the greater good. If you take the Elves route early on, one of the first things you see him do is throw away his career trying to warn the Empire of the threat Fost poses.

Also, as the game goes on, and you get to learn more and more about his backstory, you see just how much he has sacrificed for the world's sake, on a very deep and personal level. The fact that whenever he mentions
Spoiler:
his dead daughter and her heroism
he shows tons of nuance in his character doesn't hurt. Apolimesho may be a grumpy old guy, but there's a lot more too him than that, and I think he might be the deepest and most complex character in the game, particularly with regard to
Spoiler:
his occasional mad attempts to do ANYTHING to be with her again, and his regrets at letting his duty and his personal feelings pull him apart like they do.
...So, yeah.

This was perfect for a poll so I have edited your post to add it :) I agree on Apolimesho, even if doesn't seem very popular amongst other people!

What about our favorite three-headed puppy Trouble?!?!??!?

Of those listed, I'd have to pick between Apolimesho and Sauzer. In the end I think I'll go with Apolimesho. He's more colorful, and his back story is particularly poignant.

I'd be interested in hearing from someone who picked Breza. She seems to be a popular choice. Maybe I missed something in the story, but I'm having a hard time understanding why that is.

Haha true forgot about him, poor puppy!! ;_;
However since he never talks...
About Breza I think is more about her appearance and the possibilities. There's a bit of backstory though,
Spoiler:
you discover that she is eager to proclaim Loren Queen because she has a sort of adoration for her, and in a scene she argues with the PC :)

Yeah, I kind of suspected that Breza knew about Karen's "weakness" and didn't approve. She probably hoped Loren would be free of such weaknesses, which turns out not to be the case if you romance her as Saren. Hmmm...if she's so enamored on Loren, why does she end up getting involved with a rival for Loren's attention like Elenor?

I like Dora. She's pretty much got the personality I used to roleplay back in the ole D&D days, so she's just a character type I have a soft spot for. "I know it'll end poorly, but I just can't help myself!"

I'm kinda stumped on Breza too. I mean, Dora, fair enough, she's basically Han Solo, only short, feminine, and packing a bow rather than a pistol. But... really, Breza always struck me as pretty bland. More of a background character than a party member. I mean, I don't see any votes for... I can't actually remember the names of the two generals and the dark elf dude, but they're STILL sticking in my brain as characters more than Breza. I don't remember much about her beyond owning some goblin slaves.

Dora. She and my Joking!Elenor were bros, man.

Or sisters. Whatever.

I always imagined her as the friendliest, the one I'd be most likely to banter with.

Although I picked Dora because her cheery personality really endeared me to her, I'm surprised that Sauzer doesn't have at least have one vote; he had some really amusing lines here and there and
Spoiler:
his confrontation of Jul after the credits
was pretty (if passively) badass in my opinion.

W-WHAT. Such little love for Ramas!
Well admittedly, my reason for liking him's quite shallow, haha.
Spoiler:
It's just so adorable when he blushes xDDD

Yes. I know there was no need for that spoiler tag, but it adds to the suspense! (?)
I'd vote for Sauzer next. There was really little interaction points with him, but he's quite cool hahaha.
