All right, achievements works on Linux too. You get a problem on startup because the check DLC doesn't work yet. I think at this point will wait a couple of days to fix Linux and Mac so I can do a good testing of everything at once :) sorry for the delay!

Actually I haven't managed to run.

In my first try steam hanged with a black window of Loren The Amazon Princess. I rebooted and tried to run through the linux terminal. It crashed. So I downloaded the non-steam Loren from the website and tried to run it and it does...

So now I'm trying to see if it runs on another computer.

Will email you with the results and log message. :|

I just found this on Steam developer forums:
The Steam overlay crashes my games at startup on a number of Linux systems (including my current dev system, but not my previous one). Does unchecking the 'Enable Steam Community In-Game' option in the Properties page fix it?
So maybe try disabling that? people are also suggesting to try running the game from commandline and not Steam launch button.

On my Asus eeePC with a previous version of linux mint and 32bits I could get the game to function but without sound... it's half good right? That computer is a mess with some broken dependencies and all, so I didn't even expected to work. But the sound works both in the system (I can listen to music) and also in other steam games. I'll send another email with the specs.

About the other computers, where Loren doesn't start, I tried to disable that yes and I also had tried running from command line / linux terminal. Same effect.

Also, did you use ubuntu 32-bits or 64-bits?

Yes the problem is the 32-64 bit, coder confirmed it :) so he only needs to compile the external library so that works on both systems. He's going to try that today together with Mac :)

OK well seems that today the coder didn't do it  he said will do that in the next days though.
Meanwhile I guess I can send the codes for people who asked it for Windows, since that version should be working fine (I tried playing it and seems OK).
More info on Linux/Mac as soon as the coder gets back to me!

Hey Jack! I'm Espuur's buddy, I would be able to test Loren out on steam for you. I'll try my best to help out and I'll do my best to play through all of it thoroughly. :)
