D'OH. I didn't notice this thread until now. For some reason I was expecting the beta to be mentioned in the 'Loren is coming to Steam' thread and had been following that one.

If there's still room for people to beta test then I would like to, sure. I'd been meaning to play Loren all the way through anyway when the Steam release hits. If not I can wait. 8)

I'm on Windows 8 64-bit so probably not a setup that needs as much testing as, say, Linux. I seem to do okay with other Renpy stuff on Steam (Christine Love, Hanako) and haven't had any problems with those.

Right now I would really like to get some Linux/Mac testers, since I had already a few people play the Windows version to the end without problems. Of course anyone who bought the game will get the Steam key, I need to setup some automated system to avoid going nuts though, will do that after the Holidays

I have seen some developers go on forums and say 'Oh just send me an email and I will generate a Steam key for you' only to get completely bombarded with hundreds of requests. In a couple of cases their email servers even crashed  so, uh, yeah an automated system to generate Steam keys is good.

Hanako has one up for Long Live the Queen at http://nettle.spikycaterpillar.com/ that works well.

Congratulations I couldn't be more happy for you this game is finally getting the attention it deserves I know some friends of mine who didn't buy it before because it was not on steam I will send a link to them about it. Thank you for all your hard work this year and I hope that future games can make onto steam to support your efforts. Loved Heileen 3 and can't wait for Loren 2 so hope you had a great Xmas and have a great new year! :)

Thanks! Tell your friends to still buy here (they'll get the steam key once is out), if they want to play also the uncensored version

OK even the Mac version now works. I'll start sending the Steam keys by email to everyone who bought it. In the end I think will just do that, because having keys stored on server could lead to problems (hackers trying to get in to steal them, etc) and right now I want to avoid extra headaches if possible

So you have the email addresses of everyone who bought it through BMT Micro? What about people who got it from Desura or Humble?

Well they can forward me the email receipt, or in case of Desura send a private message (from their profile I can see if they bought the game).

I've made an automated solution similar to the one suggested (indeed I asked Hanako's coder ).

If you bought the game direct from my site in the past year, you can get your Steam key at this site:
http://nettle.winterwolves.net/
just enter the serial code you got when you bought the game to get your Steam key. If you bought the game+DLC you'll get two keys.
The keys should work even if the game is not yet live on Steam.

If you bought the game long time ago when I wasn't using the serials, you need to email me. Sorry but in this case there's no automated solution :)
