Mirage Of Deceit - Fanfiction

Well, I wrote like, 40 pages for the first chapter of the fic and there was NO WAY of posting here on the Forums. So, I made a Tumblr account(and broke my head trying to understand enough about it so I could post it without any problems) and the fic is there. I will warn aNyone who reads it(I warned on my tumblr, but I don't mind warning again): The story is darker and is slight AU(Alternative Universe), so expect somethings to occur in a different way(every character will be villainized at some point, so there will not be a complete good character, even if some of them are better than others), not to mention, some redesigns of every character. ^__^ And was nice writing Elenor and Saren as some kind of "siblings"(even if they are completely different from each other).

Anyway, I would appreciate if you could read it and give me some feedback.

Oh, the Tumblr, I almost forgot  :

Oh, Thank you, Miakoda, that was kind of you. ^________^

I think you should try to write something, even if it is something random, or like an alternative ending or anything. Besides, you would be surprised with the things one can "conjure" while writing(Example, before this fic, I never had write something that long in English, so to challenge myself did a lot of good for my confidence). And since you have such good ideas, I think you would make a good fic. ^____^

Well, if nothing else, I will read it tonight, or this weekend. Heh, working long hours will do that ;)

Oh, I do the occasional fanfic (used to do more when I was younger). It surprised me when I won a free game of my choosing for my fanfic Hanako Games ran during Christmas for Long Live the Queen :)

Well, I'm about a 1/3 of the way through your piece, and I'm finding it a good read. I won't make any suggestions about the grammer (since as you stated, English is not your first language).

However, one recommendation is you may wish to use quotations " " instead of the dashes -- Some people use dashes (or italics) to convey internal thoughts.

I do love the picture by the way. A noose in Elenor's make sense (of course, her brashness/joking manner is amusing) Of course, rolling her eyes up in exasperation with Loren is good :)

Well, it isn't among my better work, and I might have been the one to win a link during the random portion of the draw. However, if you wish a link:

Well, I loved your fiction! It was very well written and I believe you should consider the possibility of writing something about any "Winter Wolvians"(Yes, I made that up) games. Even if its only a doodle/one-shot, I'm sure it will be a wonderful read!(But I must insist that a multi-chaptered fic would be incredibly awesome!)

^______________^

And I think I will change the second chapter of my fiction. Really, using quotations might be for the best(It's just a bad habit I had acquired while writting npc's for tabletop RPG's, it's difficult to let it go ^_^"). Now, that image that I had drawn... Let's just say that it has more about Elenor than merely her colorful character...

*blushes* Thank you. And I've actually got several ideas for Winter Wolvians fanfic. The main problem is time...not to mention I hope to finish up writing for a fan-mod for Baldur's Gate II by the end of March. In a way, just from doing that (as well as seeing the coding, etc.) I can appreciate just how much work Jack1974 and his crew do on their games.

But I actually may knock out something for Saren/Myrth and a tie in to the old Magic Stones game. Druidic magic tournaments...it is something I would love to see incorporated in the 'modern' Tales of Aravorn games .

For that matter, I've also booted around a 'travelogue of Elenor'. Maybe not exciting to others, but the idea is playing around with some of the monster races thrown in, but maybe look more in depth beyond the 'savage foe to put down'. Definitely some possibilities there. I've been looking at the Cyclopes, for example. Something I may play with is just as Mesphit accused the Elves of oppressing his people, maybe the Dark Elves are responsible for the state the Cyclopes are in. After all, they helped bring about the Orcish Wastes. It could be neat to see towns, maybe even a city the Cyclopes had built, all laid to ruin by the actions of the Dark Elves ancestors. (And yes, Cyclopean towers come to mind).

And even the modern day Cyclopes could be expanded. Maybe a rich artistic side via petroglyphs. Maybe master brewers of mescaline (cactus based fermented drink)...maybe Ramas could take a strong drink of it, and find it a bit overwhelming for even his hardy constitution.

Now, that image that I had drawn... Let's just say that it has more about Elenor than merely her colorful character...
It reminds me of a cover image from one of my favorite pen and paper RPGs. It's called Over the Edge.

I hope to finish it up by this afternoon, so I don't know if you addressed it, but did you see the one little tidbit about Breza on the timeline? Rather interesting Breza herself isn't an Amazon by birth...and could also explain some of her jealousy with Elenor/Saren.

*grins and high 5's for BG2*

In some ways, the ultimate game way back when would have the open world (relatively speaking) of BG 1, with refinements, dialogue, etc. of BG 2.

It's been way to long in the making (started way back when in college 8 or so years ago), but a mod for the werewolf Delainy at Gibberlings 3. It will still need to be coded, but there is only 4 lovetalks to go, and the epilogues to write for Throne of Bhaal.

I've done work on other mods for BG 2. I did the Tashia rewrite at Spellhold Studios, as well as helped with other bits and pieces on other mods (such as sex scenes). I also got a few other things in the work, some humorous, others more serious.
