So an update on this game... 4 out of 6 romance path are storyboarded, and the writer seems to have caught up with me. The problem is that the original artist disappeared after last February, and didn't reply to my emails. I wasn't in a hurry before, but now I'd like to get the 6 final romance CGs images. I think might have to use someone else
Luckily the art for the main game/characters was already done, including several outfits for the characters. It will be a very different RPG vs Loren, since you'll do most battles with 1-3 characters, and they won't be essential to complete the missions (in most cases you'll be able to avoid them). Have yet to decide the gameplay but I am also thinking to include a minimap when you do the missions/theft.
Depending how other projects go, this might be released sooner than I thought, maybe even at the end of this year! :)

For some OBSCURE reasons, the artist was getting my emails but I never got his answers! :o so he had actually done already lot of work including the comic-book style intro! You see an image from it below:

The mother (the Queen of thieves!) is telling a tale to the three young sisters. The quiet before the storm...
I'm now thinking to have all the romance scenes for this game drawn like that, as a sequence of images rather than a static one, I think looks better 8)

will there be the possibillity to choose the gender of the main charackter? (sorry if this was already asked before i didn't read all the posts)
I will try out one of you otome games... but somehow this whole female only main does nothing for me (i'm male)

No, in this game for plot reasons you only play as the three sisters, sorry :)
I'm straight male but if the story is good, and if there's some fanservice and/or interesting love stories (not necessarily girl/girl even if I like them in particular) I don't mind playing as female. I played the first Dragon Age and first two Mass Effect as female for example

I'Ve been posting too much so I will stop for awhile ......... after this one.

I am glad that this project ended up farther along than it was thought to be.

Regarding playing as male or female, I don't have a problem either way. In any game it is the character you are playing (I would say it is very much like playing a role in a movie) and it doesn't matter whether the character is your sex or not. In fact, I played LTAP as Elenor first because I thought the premise of the game would be better with a female hero. Also with PS I had to play as the female, as the character I wanted to date was lesbian, so there was no other way. In most games out there it doesn't matter what gender you play because while you may be able to play the game as either gender, it doesn't matter to the game play as to which you choose. Some year, given unlimited resources, it would be neat if you made a game where which gender you chose had a huge impact on the game. I do acknowledge that LTAP took that into account in a big way but it didn't go as far as I mean.

The roles in the game should be made to fit the game and if the role requires a specific gender then the game will be stronger if you stick to it.

Best Regards
Jim

Disclaimer: I like fan-service. I like pictures of good looking women. I do not mind pictures of good looking men since many gamers are female or are homosexual males and deserve the same fan-service. I really like games where there is an option for romance/dating and I like there to be a mix of homo/heterosexual options because I want everyone included and I want the option to go "both ways" if that is my whim. I would like to see greater use of artwork that extolls the virtue of the feminine form in it's more usual shapes. And most importantly I would like nice characters to always come out on top because "niceness" is intrinsically good and tends to get lost among the ideas of what it means to be strong and tough and to win.

Yes well said. Also I don't know why but I've always been a fan of "strong women" and indeed in almost all my games there's one (or more), like Loren, Tanya, the demoness in Spirited Heart, etc :)

Well in retrospective and after some hours of playing as a female character... i have to say the lesbian romances are quite interesting :D maybe it was just an initiall "wall" to overcome^^.
and the demoness in spirited heart is one of my favorite character ;) i only decided to play spirited hearts because i had the choice betwenn a redhead and a demoness... a prette tough one if you ask me :D
I Guess i'll just wait for queen of thieves to get out and decide after playing if i like it or not^^

Yes I think you should base your choices more on the setting, style of writing, intended audience, rather than the gender. Queen Of Thieves is more casual/family friendly, but of course there'll be a long demo to try out before making your decision :)
