Haha I actually like it, when I take breaks (is healthier to not work for hours straight on computers!) I can just walk near the door and look at it. Before I had to go downstairs (upstairs I have some tiny windows that sucks).
Plus I get a +1 in writing inspiration skill

Ok that dungeon looks pretty cool, what monsters are in there?
If at first try it doesn't explode, it ain't Jack who wrote the code.

Maybe some rats, but I have several "Summon Cat companion" spells that can take care of the problem

hehe was thinking as I coded the "always safe escape" thing and wrote that dialogue, that for SOTW players this will almost look like a cheat mode
In practice except for some rare key plot battles, you'll never get a game over in this game. I think is fine, since is a casual RPG!

Jack, the way those character models looks is amazing. Is Queen of Thieves like a "Loren" type game? Or a shade different like SOTW was?

No more similar to Loren, in the sense that is more focused on the romance than RPG part (albeit RPG is still present as you can see). I'll probably make another blog post explaining some more differences, but this one basically started as "otome" (GxB) dating sim only, then I turned it into a casual RPG and added yuri paths :)

In short:
- fixed party of 3 (the three sisters)
- male/female romances (3 + 3 characters). Each sister can romance 2 out of 3 boys/girls (fixed combos)
- party auto-heals after every battle
- fixed amount of gear (but each represented graphically), no jewelry, limited slots for items
- unlimited grinding (there is a level cap though, obviously!)

It's more the tenses that don't work. You should try either Diseased Rat or Plague Rat. Whichever you think works best.
