From what I know, the latest news is that they'll adjust the percentages based on the other games. I mean, is relative. If a gameY gets 15,000 upvotes and is the maximum, that will become the 100%. It's still very work-in-progress and I guess they're testing themselves the waters. (nothing of this is official, just rumors I heard)
It's also a matter of luck/randomness, for example Science Girl of my firend Hanako got 28800 views but 800 votes, so slightly more than Loren, but with twice the amount of visitors. Why that game got twice my visitors? She has no clue either
I don't know honestly HOW Steam thinks that this will help them judge the games, I mean which data they'll extrapolate from it, but Loren doesn't seem to be doing bad at all reading the comments and the votes, if I compare the game with other indie games that are there. For sure, is my most popular game
Also - there are lots of haters and obviously people with childish attitudes (if not very young people for real). Seeing comments like that Deji's art is HORRIBLE makes me laugh. They wish they could draw so well! Unfortunately internet is full of jealous people that rather than improving their skills through hard work, they prefer to just sit down in front of computer criticizing anyone better than them
