Re: Steam Greenlight
A bit too pessimistic, but I see your point and it makes complete sense, sadly...
Get Linux, it's good for you! http://www.lubuntu.net

Re: Steam Greenlight
So Agarest:Generations of War is now on Steam (didn't check it, but very likely without Greenlight) and this is a very 'naughty' game (well, about same level as Winter Wolves games) yet not really developed/published by big shot Japanese companies... the mind boggles again.

Re: Steam Greenlight
Well now Loren is 70th place, so Valve just needs to Greenlight another 70 games at once and hop!
I think EVENTUALLY I might get in, otherwise I really will start talking about a global conspiracy!
That Agarest game, naughtiness apart, seems interesting from the gameplay point of view, I always wanted to do a sort of hybrid wargame/RPG. Maybe one day...!

Re: Steam Greenlight
Agarest already has a sales record on the PS3.
I own it for that console, but I still bought it, in the hopes that it's better optimized on the PC. Finding time to play it though... yeah, maybe next year.
Oh, and it's a plain strategy RPG, no wargame involved in it. Not a particularly good one either, but they can't all be Tactics Ogre.

Re: Steam Greenlight
This game has been Greenlit by the Community. Congratulations! They actually DID Greenlight 100 games at once.

Yes, is getting easier now to get in. Luckily for me
I was mid-way in the top100 though.

Re: Steam Greenlight
Right now is 65% to the top100, so not bad but not enough to get in. Depends what they'll be doing, if they approve 100 games each month, for sure will be in before Christmas, otherwise might take longer!

Re: Steam Greenlight
Agreed about Planet Stronghold. I know my biggest gripe with the Greenlight process is that there are a lot of games that have actually been made (such as Winterwolves, or Hanako Games), but they don't get even a second look while something may pass Greenlight...and it may not even have an Alpha build, and may even be in Kickstarter mode.
However, I will definitely have to give Valve credit for speeding up the Greenlight process the last couple months.

Re: Steam Greenlight
Yes, is much better now. I still see no point too in allowing in games that are just early-alpha at best, they should accept more games that are already finished. But as it was before, Loren would have never been approved so for me is better
