It's much more involved and needs some good foundations, and a few well placed checkov's guns, but a good mystery/romance game is something the indie gaming industry has lacked for a long time. I hope some team takes up the challenge, as I'd fangirl them so hard. 
And yes, as I said, highly unlikely but something I'd love to see made!
