I should probably have done another dating sim like Roommates, since those can be finished in a more reasonable amount of time than the VN/RPG!
I dont think its bad that I have to wait, I know the vast majority of WW are woman, so I think Jack is right to concentrate his effort on his main public, as I think is right those company to concentrate on their main public, the straight white males.Sylrissa wrote:Now you know how it feels for us women (as well as LGBT people) when so many games produced have a straight (often white) male protagonist.
I disagree about the white people thing, I always tried to add more variety of people, and even if I got some "funny" comments sometimes in private, I plan to keep doing itValHallen wrote: I dont think its bad that I have to wait, I know the vast majority of WW are woman, so I think Jack is right to concentrate his effort on his main public, as I think is right those company to concentrate on their main public, the straight white males.
So you dont disagree with me, because I think there should be racial variety too, my commented was only about the PC.jack1974 wrote:I disagree about the white people thing, I always tried to add more variety of people, and even if I got some "funny" comments sometimes in private, I plan to keep doing itValHallen wrote: I dont think its bad that I have to wait, I know the vast majority of WW are woman, so I think Jack is right to concentrate his effort on his main public, as I think is right those company to concentrate on their main public, the straight white males.
Regarding the public, if you check my poll here: viewtopic.php?f=33&t=3425
several people like to play as opposite gender. Assuming I provide both straight AND homosexual romances, the results are:
Female protagonist: 59%
Male protagonist: 41%
So it's not an overwhelming majority, because many people like to play also in other genders (like many women like to play as male for yaoi romances, or many men like to play as female for yuri romances)
Also, it's not part of a plan: it's a pure coincidencefinishing a game is so hard and takes so long that there can be periods where people with specific gender/romance preferences will have to wait
