I'm trying to get the Dominic route in Anne's story but for some reason I can't get his spring break event to trigger even though I followed the professor event and have his affection at 100 (as well as doing his gift and valentine's day and winter break event) Could I be doing something wrong or is there perhaps another stat I should be taking note of in order to get it?
You also need to have a Rational stat of 150, and Organized of 100 for Spring Break.

If you look click on the Stats box, it will show which areas you should focus on. What looks like a long bar of symbols actually reveals which two stats are needed for that specific person overhead.

I have a question about Dominic's ending
Spoiler:
I had 300 each for both his stats, so a total of more than 600. I had 900+ on my grades and 100 in the relationship, but in the ending they break up...is that the best ending with him or did i do something wrong?
Also you would like to know that after i finished Dominic playthrough i went to the gallery and his images are not available even if i got both of them while playing.

That's the ending either way, though one is a bit happier than the other. I had the same reaction, I even sent my savegame in to make sure it wasn't a bug
All hail Rei's booty.

I noticed during the scene where Anne meets Max and finished reading the house rules that there might be a typo...

Unless Max really is gonna say that to Anne... :?

I am a first-timer here at the forums, so I would just like to thank you for the games you have made. I have played several of them and have enjoyed them a lot so far! ^_^

Version: 0.8.5
OS: Windows 7

So far I have only played the Anne x Dominic route. Some general feedback - I enjoyed the scenes and style (writing and art) of the game and I had some good laughs and appreciated the "Aww" moments.

I haven't really read any of the other posts for fear of spoilers, so I apologise in advance if I repeat something already mentioned. Also, I have tried to back up any potentially relevant save games, so let me know if you need any.

Typos, etc.
Spoiler:
  1. game/story.rpy 759: Rakesh says "Greet Roommates?" - lowercase for "roommates"?
  2. game/scenes1_edit.rpy 2209: Sally says "a'rright, a'rright" - capitalise the first word?
  3. game/scenes1_edit.rpy 4389: Max says: "It's not finished yet, we have to figure out the final arrangeent." - "arrangeent" to "arrangement".
  4. game/scenes1_edit.rpy 5273: It reads "I can feel myself blushing a little" - no full stop.
  5. game/scenes1_edit.rpy 6252: Isabella says "It was worth a little fling, or It would have been" - lowercase "it".
  6. game/scenes1_edit.rpy 6254: Isabella says "I didn't intend it to happen" - missing "for", i.e. "intend for it"?
  7. game/scenes1_edit.rpy 8928: Anne says "Thanks sally!" Capitalise Sally's name.
  8. game/scenes1_edit.rpy 10168: It reads "He gives me a quick hug of appreciation before as I head out of his room." - either "before" or "as" should be used, not both.
  9. game/scenes1_edit.rpy 10241: Sally says "Okay, I'm trying to put together this Lasagna" - use lowercase for "Lasagna".
  10. game/scenes1_edit.rpy 10249: Anne says "Vegetable Lasagna, Sally?" - use lowercase for "Lasagna".
  11. game/scenes1_edit.rpy 11232: Dominic says "It's fine I was just doing a little farming online." - missing punctuation after "fine" (e.g. comma or full stop)?
  12. game/scenes1_edit.rpy 11501: It reads "It's nice to have someone else outside of there comfort zone for a change." - "there" to "their".
  13. game/scenes2_edit.rpy 42: It reads "Before I can ask more, the professor strides in the door" - "in" to "through"?
  14. game/scenes2_edit.rpy 43: Prof. Tasque says "Welcome to the class where you actually get started learning." - the grammar feels wrong, maybe something like "actually start learning" or something.
  15. game/scenes2_edit.rpy 148: Roxanne says "You as well,Anne." - a space is needed after the comma.
  16. game/scenes2_edit.rpy 2171: Max says "Whatever Come on!" - punctuation missing after "Whatever"?
  17. game/scenes2_edit.rpy 4238: Dominic says "This is a violation and I have to deal with this as RA." - "as RA" to "as the RA"?
  18. game/scenes2_edit.rpy 5283: It reads "I'm guessing he didn't exactly her about her opinion first." - missing "ask", i.e. "exactly ask her"?
  19. game/scenes2_edit.rpy 5432: Missing punctuation at end of the last sentence (after "good booze").
  20. game/scenes2_edit.rpy 6259: Anne says "I didn't know even know this was happening!" - remove the first "know".
  21. game/cg.rpy 373: Dominic says "No!, I mean, yes!" - remove the comma after the exclamation mark.
  22. game/cg.rpy 450: It reads "I guess I'm not above a placebo affect" - "affect" to "effect"?
Other stuff:
Spoiler:
  1. All descriptions for the save games read "Week XX - Monday" even if the save was on another day.
  2. game/scenes1_edit.rpy 2297: It reads "As the other two wrestle with the reluctant Sally, I wave good night and head back", but before this Anne states that she will help Rakesh with Sally (and nothing else happened in between that would suggest that the situation has changed).
  3. game/scenes1_edit.rpy 3077: Anne's sprite is crying from here on for the next few sequences, which doesn't make sense in the context.
  4. game/scenes1_edit.rpy 6024: The text "Well, I think I know what I'd like to investigate!" is attributed to Anne, but from the context I am guessing it should have been Max (immediately after, Isabella says "Down, dead boy.")
  5. game/scenes1_edit.rpy 6820: Anne says "Hey Isabella." and after Isabella speaks, Anne says "Hi Isabella! have you discovered any clues?" (game/scenes1_edit.rpy 6870), so it feels like a repeat.
  6. game/scenes1_edit.rpy 6672: Butler's sprite is too large, so the top of his head is not shown.
  7. game/scenes1_edit.rpy 9149: Anne continues talking and says "You know that's illegal." however her name is not displayed (so it appears to be a monologue).
  8. game/scenes1_edit.rpy 9675: Isabella's sprite is covering Anne's sprite.
  9. game/scenes1_edit.rpy 11447: It reads "My Mom and Dad meet us at departures" - I would have expected Anne's parents to meet them at "arrivals" since they just arrived at the airport?
  10. game/scenes1_edit.rpy 11483: While the text reads "I smile at the compliment as Dominic stretches a bit", Anne's sprite just changed from smiling to neutral.
  11. game/scenes2_edit.rpy 4511: I am assuming that after this scene the activity schedule should have continued (I chose to skip the event), however it goes to game/scenes2_edit.rpy 4629 which is the sequence when you play the event and you actually continue on to the event (thus not skipping it).
  12. game/scenes3_edit.rpy 79: Anne speaks about how "Roxanne and the others had to bow out", etc. and immediately after (game/scenes3_edit.rpy 82) it reads "Max was right, the house is pretty... cozy.", but Max never talked about the house.
For one "sequence/path" I chose to skip the event that would have Anne organising the party. The related event after that (sorry, I didn't take note of the event date, etc.) clearly indicated that Anne decided not to host a party. However after that the path continues as if Anne is organising the party. I have noted the problematic parts:
  1. game/scenes3_edit.rpy 3269: Event on Week 20 Wednesday - it starts with "It's time to start getting invites out."
  2. game/scenes3_edit.rpy 4319: Event on Week 21 Wednesday - it starts with "Tonight's the big night."
  3. If you decided to cancel the party (i.e. skip the above event), then at game/endings_edit.rpy 65, 74, 76 and 77 there are still references to Anne having thrown the party and it not having gone well (when she waves at the people she recognised).
I am not sure what the expected behaviour is for the scheduler, but I found some oddities or at least stuff that behave differently from what I expected. (Note that for my first run I was playing on easy difficulty.)
  1. It seems that all parameters for the "Study" activity got multiplied by 3, e.g. the activity result "window" would show +8 to grades and -5 to energy, but 24 would actually be added to the overall grade and 15 would be deducted from the total energy.
  2. For the activities like "Tabletop RPG", it appears the parameters were multiplied by 2, e.g. the activity result "window" would show +9 to "Organised", -5 to energy and -$15, however 18 would be added to "Organised", 10 would be deducted from the total energy and it would actually cost $30.
  3. I am not sure whether you are supposed to get "bonus" energy points when going into the next day when you play on easy, but it appears that sometimes 10 or 15 would be added to the total energy at the end of a day. Otherwise it may be a bug related to the "Sleep Early" activity. I couldn't quite determine the pattern.
  4. I don't know whether it is intentional, but after an event occurs all the remaining activities scheduled for that day appear to be skipped.
  5. When you have to click "Start" for the Winter/Spring Break, you can still edit your schedule in the background.
  6. At some point I reloaded a save game and in the "Options" menu changed the difficulty to normal (and played like that for a while), but I couldn't detect any changes with the activities (i.e. it appeared to behave the same as with the easy difficulty). Is the difference more subtle or does it not work to change the difficulty in the middle of the game?
EDIT: Changed game/scenes3_edit.rpy to game/endings_edit.rpy for the "party bug" (a copy-and-paste-error on my part, sorry!)

I got an error during the scene where Isabella just finished explaining jobs and when I clicked the option 'Thank you' it gave me an error.

It also made a traceback file... How can I send this to you or be able to help you recreate that error?

When updating (linux 64, 0.8.4 -> 0.8.5), the game would not close the window. It starts a second, but the first stays up.

I actually am going to remove it on next update. Every time I tried to use it, it caused extra issues, so I'm sorry but no point in using something that randomly breaks the game...! :| maybe one day I'll find a reliable way to update the games, but that one clearly is too bugged.
annyo84 wrote:Okay, i don't know if it happens only to me or not, but i tried to replay the the two cg scenes from the gallery and in both instead of being Anne and Max there are two Maxes sprites instead. This are the cgs scenes you get playing as Anne romancing Max.
OK going to check, it must be the same bug that other user is having!

Ah weird, going to look!

Oniyuri : thanks for the report, going to check everything. Regarding your notes:
1. Study multiplied: ah interesting, based on your Energy you'll get a bonus on the stats (not just Grades) but it should match what is shown in the window (so +8 and not +24!).
2. see above
3. no you get +15 Energy at end of each day, no matter the difficulty
4. yes, depends on the event: some starts early in the morning, others in the afternoon, and others in the evening
5. oops needs fixing  (even if won't matter in the end)
6. the difficulty will change how quickly you raise your stats, though in some cases the difference is very small. On Hard you get -15%, on easy +15%. But if the result is 3-4 you won't notice much difference. I think I might just change it to add +/- 1 to the value.

Well I think you have the "updater bug", since is not possible that the game crashes at that point. Anyway you can copy/paste the traceback here in forums (is a text file), but I'm pretty sure that is not a game bug, but a consequence of the webupdater, or maybe a bug related to the Gallery.

OK regarding the "bug" at end of the game when Anne/Max tries to remember what happened to the others: is NOT a bug! indeed the character will remember what happened to others ONLY if they have at least 20 relationship. I checked a savegame send by DunKalar, and indeed Anne had 20 relationship only with Dominic, so Anne remembers only him :)

One typo: game/scenes1_edit.rpy 7583 "You're" should be "your"
