Guys, can someone tell me how to get your stats over 600?

I played on easy from the beginning, worked in cafe/went to the pub each time it was available, only switching to waterboy/farm jobs plus farming when it was necessary for the Active stat (I went after Isabella). And in the end I had 420 in Spontaneous, 200+ in Active. That's the highest I could do and my grades were crap cause I had to sleep sometime. What am I doing wrong?

I so agree with you... Goodness, this game is hard! (And I'm not even joking, it's really hard to get the "A" endings) But is so addictive!

How dare you all to make such a good game!^__^ :)

Josipa24, the Stats over 600 is actually the combined stats, not individual Stats. So, your Spontaneous and Active combined would be 620+...and bet the Stats over 600.

Couple minor typos.

Week 3, Thursday, playing as Max. Isabella says, "Here's you latte, Sally! A traditional breakfast for you, hot stuff."

I think that 'you' should be a 'your

'Week 4, Sunday, playing as Max. If you take Sally to the gig, Memphis says, "He offers and arm for Sally...Memphis loves to turn on the charm act when there's a lady present."

I think that first 'and' should be 'an'

There was an event where Anne goes with Max to see his band practice and in the scene where they are in the city I noticed a coffee shop where its name is misspelled as Cofee House

https://www.dropbox.com/s/0fjqk939nsal0 ... t%2003.png

This was in the 0.8.6 version so I am not sure if this was already resolved in the 0.8.7 version...

Also noticed that some text in the scheduler spelt wrong when doing the yoga it says 'losser' when it should say 'looser'

Max's story.

Max's name changed from GREEN to BLACK and then back again after. Happens on the line "I reluctantly agree..."

Hilarious... but I don't know how to fix that. Clearly it's some kind of hipster coffee joint. Where good spelling no longer applies.

Oh, I see. But i still got the breakup ending though. That shouldn't happen, right?
I think I'll try wiping the various versions of the beta I have and try again from scratch.

Version 0.8.7

This playthrough was Anne x Max.

The help text for the scheduler is a nice addition (and thanks for your explanation)! Some new notes about the scheduler:
  1. I don't know whether it is the intended behaviour, but when an event occurs and the remaining activities are skipped for the day, you will also not receive the 15 energy points at the end of the day.
  2. When reaching 100 points in two parameters/stats in the same week, only one activity unlock message will be displayed at the start of the next week (however both will still be unlocked).
  3. The upgraded/unlocked activity replaces the original activity in the activity "selection window", however the original activity will remain in the scheduler (where you previously "placed" it) until you manually replace it. Is this behaviour ok?
Typos, etc.
Spoiler:
  1. game/story.rpy 464: Max says "'Ah it's fine" - remove the apostrophe at the beginning of the sentence?
  2. game/scenes1_edit.rpy 551: Anne says "That's why I really came out here... yaknow?" - space between "ya" and "know".
  3. game/scenes1_edit.rpy 824: Anne says "I'd really like to but um..." - maybe add a comma before "but"?
  4. game/scenes1_edit.rpy 833: It reads "while Dominic gives me a stern but concerned nod" - maybe add a comma before "but"?
  5. game/scenes1_edit.rpy 912: Sally says "Of course, rooomie!" - "rooomie" to "roomie"?
  6. game/scenes1_edit.rpy 1885: Rakesh says "Everybody begin to drink" - "begin" to "begins" (wasn't exactly sure of this so I also did a quick search on the internet).
  7. game/scenes1_edit.rpy 2434: Max says "So you heard the music right, what'd you think?" - maybe break it into two sentences, e.g. "So you heard the music, right? What'd you think?"
  8. game/scenes1_edit.rpy 2455: Max says "I'll even give you a managers fee" - "managers" to "manager's" (missing apostrophe).
  9. game/scenes1_edit.rpy 2458: Anne says "Bookmarks and Textbook Covers?" - lowercase for "Textbook Covers".
  10. game/scenes1_edit.rpy 3754: It reads "Maybe it's silly to be self conscious" - "self conscious" to "self-conscious"?
  11. game/scenes1_edit.rpy 4017: It reads "Seeing Chad sweating a little makes me feel very slightly better about making a fool of myself." - either "very" or "slightly"?
  12. game/scenes1_edit.rpy 4042: Sally says "Of course, what with her flirting all over Latin house" - capitalise "house".
  13. Going from game/scenes1_edit.rpy 4504 where Anne says "No, not his actual band." and followed by Sally saying "Yeah, me either." at game/scenes1_edit.rpy 4506, shouldn't "either" be "neither"?
  14. game/scenes1_edit.rpy 4955: Memphis says "That's our drummer Slim banging away up there" - add commas before and after "Slim"?
  15. game/scenes1_edit.rpy 4975: It reads "He takes me over to meet the drummer Slim while Max" - add commas before and after "Slim"?
  16. game/scenes1_edit.rpy 4977: It reads "Finally another guy comes in (And yes, I made sure I was right this time!)." - lowercase "And".
  17. game/scenes1_edit.rpy 5001: Max says "You were late-ass slacker" - missing a space?
  18. game/scenes1_edit.rpy 6624: Anne says "A bunch of invitations with pre written messages" - "pre written" to "pre-written"?
  19. game/scenes1_edit.rpy 6651: Anne says "I'm a hard boiled detective" - "hard boiled" to "hard-boiled"?
  20. game/scenes1_edit.rpy 6653: Max says "hahah! That you are." - capitalise the "hahah".
  21. game/scenes1_edit.rpy 8759: It reads "tromping feet and either Dominc's yelling" - "Dominc" to "Dominic".
  22. game/scenes1_edit.rpy 10056: Dominic says "Definitely, thanks we got through that much quicker than I would have thought." - maybe "Definitely. Thanks, we got through that much quicker than I would have thought."?
  23. game/scenes1_edit.rpy 11434: Anne says "Just promised to be good for my parents-sake, okay?" - "promised" to "promise" and "parents-sake" to "parents' sake".
  24. game/scenes1_edit.rpy 11645: It reads "I sit up in a surprise, when I smile it's a slow natural smile. I step off of max and off of the bed." - without the "a", a new sentence from "when" and capitalise "max"?
  25. game/scenes2_edit.rpy 461: Carmen says "I'm not going to try to.." - missing a dot in the ellipsis.
  26. game/scenes2_edit.rpy 1796: Anne says "I don't know poker or something?" - maybe a comma before "poker"?
  27. game/scenes2_edit.rpy 2120: It reads "look of disappointment that flashes on their faces" - "on" to "across"?
  28. game/scenes2_edit.rpy 2327: Dominic says "That's, um... that's pretty far fetched." - "far fetched" to "far-fetched"?
  29. game/scenes2_edit.rpy 3794: It reads "I'm glad just glad he likes it." - remove the first "glad".
  30. game/scenes2_edit.rpy 4312: Dominic says "FINE Whatever!" - exclamation mark after "fine"?
  31. game/scenes2_edit.rpy 4629: Anne says "Thanks Car-car!" - "Car-car" to "Car-Car" (according to the other instances I read).
  32. game/scenes2_edit.rpy 5460: Anne says "Where's Dominic, I'm surprised he let you get away with this..." - change the comma to a question mark?
  33. game/scenes2_edit.rpy 5489: It reads "Isabella even got her hands on a snake shaped" - "snake shaped" to "snake-shaped"?
  34. game/scenes2_edit.rpy 5607: It reads "Rakesh lost the rock paper scissors contest" - "rock paper scissors" to "rock-paper-scissors"?
  35. game/scenes2_edit.rpy 6830: Max says "Apparently Professor Tasque's stupid Prisoner's Dilemma was dangerously close to the 'the line'." - remove the extra "the".
  36. game/scenes2_edit.rpy 6859: Prof. Tasque says "looks like Tara came to me pretty quick" - "quick" to "quickly"?
  37. game/scenes2_edit.rpy 6892: Roxanne says "Yes, professor?" - capitalise "professor".
  38. game/oneliners.rpy 1133: Anne says "All right, All right!" - lowercase for the second "all".
  39. game/scenes3_edit.rpy 1694: It reads "We finish of the last of our drinks and head out, Max puts an arm around my shoulder as we head back home." - "of" to "off" (or remove it) and change the comma to a full stop.
  40. game/scenes3_edit.rpy 2877: It reads "Carmen said it best when she said I know a rockstar." - "rockstar" to "rock-star".
  41. game/endings_edit.rpy 355: It reads "I've only got a few hours before I need to be down at at Gaz's." - remove the extra "at".
  42. game/endings_edit.rpy 358: It reads "I've come out of my shell I first came here" - missing something from the sentence?
  43. game/cg.rpy 152: Max says "You sure you're going to be okay out with all those people?" - should "out" be in the sentence?
  44. game/cg.rpy 159: It reads "to make his band well known around her" - "well known" to "well-known" and "her" to "here".
  45. game/cg.rpy 165: It reads "the looks of surprise and jealousy on the face of the other people" - "face" to "faces".
  46. game/cg.rpy 173: It reads "but he when he makes a sweet gesture" - remove the first "he".
  47. game/scenes3_edit.rpy 3253: It reads "The years almost over" - "years" to "year's"
  48. game/scenes3_edit.rpy 4318: It reads "Still, no sense worry about it now!" - "worry" to "worrying".
  49. game/endings_edit.rpy 374: Anne says "that you turned his girlfriend Anne away" - add commas before and after "Anne"?
Activity descriptions in the scheduler:
  1. Philosphy: "Their is no good or bad job" - "Their" to "There".
  2. Record Store: "Have you heard the Epic battle of the historical bands?" - lowercase "Epic"?
  3. Philosophy: "dancing crap of the world"...B - space before the ellipsis and maybe a full stop after "world"?
  4. Philosophy: "Woulnd't you think my collection's complete?" - "Woulnd't" to "Wouldn't"?
  5. Nap: "I am low on Stamina. I need this Nap spell to recharge it." - maybe capitalise "spell"?
  6. Cafeteria: "come out with a healthy sandwhich. You're amazing Anne" - "sandwhich" to "sandwich" and end sentence (after Anne) with an exclamation mark.
Other stuff (some of it isn't a big deal, but I thought to mention it regardless):
Spoiler:
  1. If you save the game at the beginning of a week at the scheduler screen (before pressing "Start"), the save game description will be the description for the previous day. I first noticed this (if I recall correctly) at the end of Winter Break, where the week "ended" on the Friday.
  2. If you played the event on Week 01 - Saturday that lead to game/scenes1_edit.rpy 595 you would know that the guy shown in the event on Week 02 - Saturday (starting from game/scenes1_edit.rpy 2619) is Chad, but his name is displayed as ??? (but if you didn't play that first event then he would indeed be unknown). And if you didn't play the event on Week 01 - Saturday, then the reference to Chad in game/scenes1_edit.rpy 3560 (the event on Week 03 - Thursday) can be confusing at first as this is then the first reference to Chad and it only becomes clear he is Isabella's boyfriend later in the event.
  3. game/scenes1_edit.rpy 2297: Max speaks, but his sprite hasn't been shown for a while.
  4. game/scenes1_edit.rpy 4388: Anne's name is displayed, but judging from the context this is a monologue.
  5. game/scenes1_edit.rpy 4991: It reads "It's my first time hearing them in their full glory, as opposed to just on Max's guitar." - the sentence feels a bit funny to me.
  6. I started skimming through some of the posts, and read something about Rakesh's bindi and that it shouldn't appear. When Rakesh's image appears in the scheduler as part of an activity, the image still shows it.
  7. game/scenes1_edit.rpy 5609, 5611 and 5615: From the context, I am just wondering whether the background should be changed to the one outside the house.
  8. game/scenes1_edit.rpy 8057: The name displayed is "Professor", but shouldn't it be "Prof. Tasque"?
  9. game/scenes1_edit.rpy 8784: It reads "I cautiously go over and open the door. I barely hear Isabella 'eep' and duck down." - it might just be me, but I keep reading it as if it is Anne that ducks down and not Isabella.
  10. game/scenes1_edit.rpy 7853: It reads "I'm sure the others will figure out someone to stay behind." - the sentence feels a bit funny to me.
  11. game/scenes2_edit.rpy 2119: Anne says "Looks like you both lose boys. Clearly, the winner is me. And all of our time, which we can now spend on useful things." - feels like something is missing from the sentence.
  12. game/scenes2_edit.rpy 3267: I am guessing the sprite's are moved closer to indicate intimicy, but with the way they are positioned Anne is barely visible behind Max.
  13. game/scenes2_edit.rpy 3900: Isabella's elbow is covering Carmen's face.
  14. game/scenes2_edit.rpy 4184 (event on Week 13 - Tuesday): If you decide to skip the event (avoid the confrontation with Dominic about the puppy), there is no indication that Sally actually knew you were there and decided to bail on her. However at game/scenes2_edit.rpy 4204 it reads "I'm glad it all worked out, even if Sally isn't talking to me right now..." like she knew you were there.
  15. The first time I started on the event on Week 13 - Thursday (starting on game/scenes2_edit.rpy 4962), I got the impression that Anne was about to look after the puppy and not that she had already looked after it for Sally, which only became apparent as the event progressed (this might just be me).
  16. game/scenes2_edit.rpy 4722 (event Week 13 - Thursday): From the start of the event there was no indication that Max was joining, so this scene is the first mention of him (so at first it surprised me that he was there).
  17. game/scenes2_edit.rpy 6199: It reads "A few hours later, the area in front of the science building has been cleared out. Whatever it was, it looks like they cleared out, probably in a hurry too." - "cleared out" is mentioned twice.
  18. game/scenes2_edit.rpy 6823: The sprite's are bunched up together and it ends up with Isabella's elbow covering Anne's face.
  19. game/scenes2_edit.rpy 6836: Dominic is speaking, but his sprite hasn't appeared once in the scene.
  20. game/scenes2_edit.rpy 6863: Marvin's name isn't displayed (??? is shown), but immediately before this (game/scenes2_edit.rpy 6859) he is addressed by his name.
  21. Spring Break (event on Week 16 - Saturday): If you skip the event, after game/scenes3_edit.rpy 1044, the scheduler screen will show and it will go through Week 16 - Sunday activities (if you selected to play the event, at the end of the event it will go to the scheduler for Week 17).
  22. Event on Week 20 - Wednesday: The event "banner" is shown over the campus background, but during the banner animation the background fades and changes to the background for the house's common area. Is this intentional?
  23. After game/oneliners.rpy 1114 a traceback is shown:

    Code: Select all

I'm sorry, but an uncaught exception occurred.

    While running game code:

Max's story.

Max's name changed from GREEN to BLACK and then back again after. Happens on the line "I reluctantly agree..."
This was fixed in 0.8.7
Oniyuri wrote: The help text for the scheduler is a nice addition (and thanks for your explanation)! Some new notes about the scheduler:
1. Are you sure? I checked in the code and I always add the +15 Energy after I advance the day by +1. That line is impossible to skip!
2. Ah OK. Yes I cannot queue two messages, so I am not sure if I can fix this, but at least both jobs unlocks properly :)
3. I'll try to see if I can replace the base with the advanced jobs in the scheduler when you unlock it :)

Thanks for the other stuff, fixed Rakesh image in the scheduler, and the crash in the activity (was another % character problem like the other) and will also check if you skip the Spring Break!
