anne "I appreciate you Max. A lot."
scenes2_edit: line 3214 -3219 (approximately). So if those lines play, the variable is set correctly and then romance should work!
Well, Anne says something along the lines of "I had a lot of fun with you too, Max. Thanks for making what could have been a really stressful quarter a lot of fun."
Then when you left click to continue, it takes you to the Stats screen, and the warning of the new Romance Stats Requirements.
Could participating in the professor's 'prisoner's dilemma' have done something?
As for others who got the ending, perhaps it worked in the first build, or romanced Max while playing as Anne. Or there could be something funky with just my computer and mainland's while others played nice.
Anyways, will be sending the files shortly. I'm going to start about week 10 and onward up to and including Spring Break

Jack, there's a call to a study partner debate section that happens when Anne or max are talking to the other one during spring break that might be where the mess up is. I'm won't be in front of my computer for another hour or two or I'd look into it. I'll check later tonight but that could be where the error is.
Just to clarify with people having this issue: did you do the prisoners dilemma thing? If so, did you betray Anne?

Yes did the Prisoner's Dilemma, yes partnered up with Anne, and kept the faith with Anne. (No betrayal for this girl)

Did another round of typo fixes.
talking with Jack in email about what might be causing the skip to scheduler. Coding's not my specialty, so I think I see a potential cause, but I could be quite incorrect.
Thanks all!

I hope it can get fixed. I've even tried to avoid some of that sequence to see if it would work, and I haven't had much luck.
Also, one small typo, I think. Playing as Anne, romancing Max, Week 18, Tuesday, there is a line : I laugh as I playful push at his shoulder.
Nothing wrong to keep it this style, but it does read a tad awkward to me. My mind keeps wanting to read it as "I laugh as I playfully push at his shoulder."

Version 0.9.0
Typos, etc.
Spoiler:
game/scenes2_edit.rpy 4353: It reads "Dominic looks rather exasperated but nods." - comma before "but"?
game/scenes2_edit.rpy 4859: Isabella says "You really just think I can fix this don't you?" - comma before "don't"?
game/scenes2_edit.rpy 5079: Rakesh says "I simply have no passion for medicine. It is what I am meant to be doing I think. This is not, however, my parent's way of thinking." - from the context it feels like "not" is missing, i.e. "It is not", and "parent's" to "parents'" (move the apostrophe)
game/scenes2_edit.rpy 5084: Rakesh says "my parent's influence" - to "parents'" - (move the apostrophe)
game/scenes2_edit.rpy 5157: Rakesh says "I just... it's never felt right for me. in my heart, you know?" - some other punctuation, or capitalise?
game/scenes2_edit.rpy 5186: It reads "I guess their date went pretty well." - but Isabella is screaming at Chad?
game/scenes2_edit.rpy 5925: Roxanne says "What made them the clear choice." - end with question mark?
game/scenes2_edit.rpy 6470: Sally says "Oh like I'm going to believe you when" - comma after "Oh"?
game/scenes2_edit.rpy 6358: It reads "Various horses, and camels are in the large open room." - no comma after "horses", maybe a comma after "large"?
game/scenes2_edit.rpy 6679: Rakesh says "Yes! this is a most excellent" - capitalise "this"
game/scenes2_edit.rpy 6671: It reads "breaking out in to a wide grin" - to "into"
game/scenes2_edit.rpy 6726: It reads "finish this test out and find out" - remove "out"
game/scenes2_edit.rpy 6905: It reads "Finally, professor Tasque looks at me." - capitalise "professor"
game/scenes2_edit.rpy 6967: Prof. Tasque says "brings a tear to me jaded and uncaring heart" - "me" to "my"
game/scenes2_edit.rpy 7078: Prof. Tasque says "whining to the Dean" - lowercase "Dean"
game/scenes2_edit.rpy 6830: It reads "stupid Prisoner's Dilemma was dangerously" - lowercase "Prisoner's Dilemma"?
game/scenes2_edit.rpy 6961: Anne says "I don't even.. I can't..." - missing a dot in the ellipsis
game/scenes2_edit.rpy 6956: Max says "You took the easy out too." - to "easy way out"?
game/scenes2_edit.rpy 1560: Roxanne says "He can just claim it's educational'." - single quote start at beginning of "educational" (since it ends with one)?
game/scenes2_edit.rpy 5745: Anne says "Max! I didn't hear you coming." - maybe "come in"?
game/scenes2_edit.rpy 69: It reads "glad to be out side again" - to "outside"
game/scenes2_edit.rpy 1531: Roxanne says "you aren't all thatinterested in your grade" - seems to be missing a space between the words
game/scenes2_edit.rpy 6739: It reads "The other student's groans of frustration" - to "students'" (move the apostrophe)
game/scenes3_edit.rpy 309: It reads "much like an outsider anymore.." - ellipsis only has 2 dots
game/scenes3_edit.rpy 354: Anne says "Watch out for undertow" - to "undertows"?
game/scenes3_edit.rpy 875: It reads "toward the beach trail path." - either "trail" or "path"
game/cg.rpy 498: Rakesh says "I think the artists eye sees" - to "artist's"
Instances where there may be too many dots in the ellipsis:
game/scenes2_edit.rpy 4352: Anne says "discuss with you. .... Please?"
game/scenes2_edit.rpy 4390: Dominic says "... .... Yeah, you make"
Space before dash?
game/scenes2_edit.rpy 6790: Roxanne says "to make up for it- we are being offered"
Other stuff:
Spoiler:
game/scenes2_edit.rpy 5106: An error message "Image 'i_anne' can't take parameters 'wink'. (Perhaps you got the name wrong?)" appears.
game/scenes2_edit.rpy 5104 (event on Week 14 - Monday): It reads "He even breaks out the easel I gave him for Valentine's Day.", but I gave Rakesh the "Paint Set" and when you give him the "Easel" as the gift, this line is skipped. (Confirmed the gifts by reloading an old save and running the path up to this event again).
If you skip the event on Week 11 - Monday and thus not choose a Valentine's gift, when the event on Week 12 - Thursday comes around you can still decide to play or skip it. If you decide to play it, you will be presented with the choices of who you want to give your gift to, and the conversation will make it seem as if Anne is giving them something (but she doesn't have anything) and then she leaves.
If you skipped the event on Week 10 - Monday (with Merriweather, where you learn about Butch) then for the event on Week 15 - Tuesday, Butch's name will be displayed as "Butler", however for both choices you can make during the event, Butch's name is revealed right before he speaks (places where his name first appears in the dialogue before he speaks: game/scenes2_edit.rpy 6465 and 6309 - for the two choices).
Volley ball: At game/scenes3_edit.rpy 660 it reads "Sally's team has scored 13 to Dominic's 13." (the score obviously depends on the choices you made) and in the next line (game/scenes3_edit.rpy 661) it reads "I have a chance to maybe end the game right here, since we're only playing to 15." - can this still be said if the score is tied?

After reading the last few pages: I can confirm trying to chase Anne while playing Max is impossible, or at least near so. I never managed, even though I should have had the stats at valentines and summer break which jack mentioned.

OK then I wonder if that player who got it (Valhallen) maybe confused Max->Anne with Anne->Max? (or maybe I confused it!).
The coding thing Mr E. talks about shouldn't be an issue. Will take a look now, thanks to Miakoda's savegames should be simple to find out why

OK so I checked Miakoda saves. The Spring Break CG didn't play because of maxlovesanne variable was 0. Then I loaded the Valentine's save, gave Anne the right gift, and the variable was correctly set to 1, I kept playing and unlocked the Spring Break CG! I stopped there, but if that one works the final ending should work as well.
So at least with the version I have here (which will be the 0.9.1) works fine. I am now trying with the 0.9.0 to see if worked. I am not sure honestly how is possible that I didn't work - is just ONE variable that is set correctly when you give her the right Valentine's gift! I even tried saving, exiting the game and reloading in case was some load/save bug, but worked fine.
Doing the test with 0.9.0 now.

OK in 0.9.0, doing the EXACT SAME STEPS, didn't work. So err... is a mystery really, but anyway will be uploading 0.9.1 that works 100% (I just tried again using the .zip I'll upload, and worked).
Sometimes coding seems a sort of voodoo ritual!
