No, don't tell us, it spoils the fun of discovering it ourselves.BobTheMob wrote:This big event--is it some Life-or-Death thing for one or more of the characters? Something that must be found/recovered like in Heileen 3? Curing Ruby of Vampirism? Something else?
It ain't right to give us just tiny hints about things and leave us hangin, Jack! Tell us something at least!

Yes enough spoilers, otherwise where's the fun?
The only thing will say is that this big deadline doesn't regard a single character, but a whole town, or more...

currently I'm doing all the locations based on the time of the day. In each location you'll be able to do some actions, like buying new stuff at the market, or gather ingredients in the central garden, woods, etc.
It might seem a bit grindy, but honestly crafting it's about this, gathering/buying ingredients, buying/discovering recipes and crafting stuff to sell

Speaking of locations I noticed that first image you given us without "wheel of time" had 2 more locations that aren't on the others after wheel was added so I was wondering what is with that, a last minute decision to narrow down locations or?

Yes I am deciding now what locations to include, for example: while in the game story you can go back to Vin's house, it's not like you can go there EVERY DAY. So wasn't a good idea to include in the list.

Is that why some of them are (for lack of better term) "muted"? They can only be accessed at certain times? Been wondering about that for a while now.jack1974 wrote:

Also, what's the second image? The Gardens? And does the gazebo-like structure have any special significance?

The disabled locations are accessible only later in the game, but really those are just work in progress screenshots, so don't read too much into them yet

Re: Art Thread [Amber's Magic Shop]
Testing the GUI for a recipe:

I can safely say already that this game will be my best looking game ever!
The recipe is fake, I just added more ingredients to see how it would look. In reality the copper ingot recipe will just be copper ore + fuel (which can be a variety of items like Coal, Firewood, etc).
I am also thinking what skill names to use (the ones on top). I will probably ask for feedback. The kind of items craftable are:
- refining ore = metalworking?
- potions (doh! obviously) = brewing?
- rings / amulets = jewelry
- refining wood / making items like wooden figurines/totems (enchanted of course) = carpentry
I could add more, but I don't want that the alchemist become a sort of jack-of-all-trades (it's already kind of!!). If you have any suggestions, feel free to let me know

Brewing maybe, but it also is commonly associated with beer these days. Could just say "Alchemy", which would match most other games.
Also looks like you're mixing professions and crafts together. E.g. Metalworking and Carpentry are skills (as opposed to the professions Blacksmith and Carpenter). But then you have Tailor (the profession) instead of Tailoring, Jeweler instead of Jewelcrafting. This probably should be consistent (and I think the skills work better in this context, e.g. keep Metalworking).

I think Metallurgy would fit better then metalworking since it is more of a science/alchemy.
