For potions, you might also use Herbalist. You could probably use the skill as Herbalism or Herbology.
For rings/amulets, if you expand it to include gems, you might use lapidary (gem cutting, etc.)

Yes, maybe I could go for a more specific "Potion Making" or as Miakoda suggested HerbalistTroyen wrote:Brewing maybe, but it also is commonly associated with beer these days. Could just say "Alchemy", which would match most other games.
Indeed that's something I'll ask one of my writers (very likely Miakoda since she's a RPG expert lol) to check that all the names I use aren't a mixed chaos of stuffTroyen wrote: Also looks like you're mixing professions and crafts together. E.g. Metalworking and Carpentry are skills (as opposed to the professions Blacksmith and Carpenter). But then you have Tailor (the profession) instead of Tailoring, Jeweler instead of Jewelcrafting. This probably should be consistent (and I think the skills work better in this context, e.g. keep Metalworking).

Smelting I see as working best for working w/ metal. Hope that helps.

Another I just Thought of: for woodwork, since it's apparently small items rather than furniture or anything like that: Carving.
Also Sewing instead of Tailoring. Hope I'm helping w/ these.

Ah yes carving could be a good one. I think for now I'll just make all the items recipes, then once I have a list will decide how many skills to have (I don't want people having to raise too many).

If carving is there I expect a discount for giving ya the idea.
Side note: when will there be more intros of the characters? (NOT trying to rush things or seem impatient; simply Curious.)

Forsaken has already written them all, so I only need to decide when to post more. Since the blog post is every 2 weeks, the next one will be 28th October

Re: Art Thread [Amber's Magic Shop]

ahem, some questions are best left unanswered, my dear Thomas... or who knows, maybe Amber will really find out how it is?
Of course, I don't need to say why a vampire dark elf would have 3 different blood, right????

Okay that's disturbing. Interesting, but disturbing.jack1974 wrote:

I'm guessing vampires turn to dust if they get sunlight on them. Also, I'm guessing silver or holy weapons work on them correct?
I do like how the dialogue boxes look like old scrolls or book pages. Adds a certain type of old RPG school charm to the game. Or something along those lines.
