this is the help texts for the room on the upper floor (I'll have another for the "underground rooms").
In case some good soul want to edit/fix the mistakes in the texts, here are the original texts:
Code: Select all
RoomsDescUpper=(
"Library: this is where Amber stores her recipes. Upgrading this room will automatically unlock some new recipes and increase the maximum number of recipes you can have in your grimoire.",
"Office: this is where Amber does the paperwork/accountancy/trades. Upgrading this room will reduce items cost in the local shops and allow trading to distant towns to acquire rare ingredients.",
"Shop: where customers can browse the items on sale. Upgrading this room will increase the amount of items you can put on sale, and the social status of customers that will visit your shop.",
"Divination Room: this is where Amber performs enchantments and gets news from around Aravorn. Upgrading this room will let you get news about random events a few days before they happen.",
"Greenhouse: some herbs can be grown in Amber's Greenhouse. Upgrading this room will allow the cultivation of rarest herbs and plants.",
)
Of course I might still tweak the effects during testing, but I need to write down something to start trying

Here, I gave it a try:
RoomsDescUpper=(
"Library: this is where Amber stores her recipes. Upgrading this room will automatically unlock some new recipes and increase the maximum number of recipes Amber can have in her grimoire.",
"Office: this is where Amber does paperwork, accountancy and trades. Upgrading this room will reduce items cost in the local shops and allow trading from distant towns in order to acquire rare ingredients.",
"Shop: this is where customers can browse items on sale. Upgrading this room will increase the amount of items Amber can put on sale, it will also make more customers of higher social status to visit Amber's shop.",
"Divination Room: this is where Amber performs enchantments and gets news from around Aravorn. Upgrading this room will make sure Amber gets news about random events a few days before they happen.",
"Greenhouse: some herbs can be grown in Amber's Greenhouse. Upgrading this room will allow the cultivation of rarest herbs and plants.",
)

"Shop: where customers can browse the items for sale [the term "on sale" indicates that prices are lowered for a time]. Upgrading this room will increase the amount of items you can sell [again, to avoid potential confusion], and the social status of customers that will visit your shop.",
(As always, ***NOT MEANT AS AN ATTACK***; done solely b/c you asked if anything should be improved, Jack.)

The "shop artist" took a break, but now he is resuming work on the last missing rooms. This is the office/accountancy room, from sketch to final result:

looks like a nice office. For sure better than the one I have

the news/aviary/observatory room. From there you will be able to see the "random events" before they appear, so you can try to speculate on the items prices

Since there are what appear to be ravens there, could there be at least one instance in which Amber can ask something about the future and one of 'em responds "Nevermore"?
That.
Would. OWN!!!!!!
The entire place seems awesome!

Hmm not sure if I get the reference... it's something related to Poe? or something else?

'Tis indeed, and I pity you: you've been deprived!
"The Raven" is indeed one of Poe's works, a tragic but brilliant piece about a man who yearns to see his late wife again, and goes mad from the grief.
