have the titular character of the series be swapped out from the get-go in the second game. I don't know how many people will expect Loren to be playable again, but hopefully it won't confuse onlookers as much as a game where the titular character only shows up in the ending...

Pleeease, make Elenor(if she had a romance with Karen) have some conflict, like, missing her. Or some dialogs in the game with Loren/Breza about her death. It would make my day so bright if there was some quest, in which we had the oportunity to "talk" to her spirit somehow, to say goodbye for real... But that's is only my opinion, but definitely some dialog about that. Otherwise those who romanced her would be like "Uh? What is this? Why Elenor isn't even talking about that? And Loren? Her mother just died and she just 'whatever'?

I know that might be troublesome, but it's just an idea anyway T_________T

Well the canon refers mostly to the endings but NOT the romance. Adding some lines there and there for the romance is possible and I'm sure Aleema would like to do that. It's like Planet Stronghold, no matter what happened you broke up with your lover after the first game. Otherwise it would be too hard to have a different beginning based on who you romanced (the downside of having a game with so many romances!! ).
Anyway when next year we'll get to actually write it, we'll see. For now I wanted to make the basic plot to start the artist, and he's already producing some very fine art pieces, like an almost shirtless Rei which will be the joy of all the fangirls, I'm sure

I like Rei because is not excessively muscular like Amukiki, but still well toned. It was hard to know since in the first game you only see him dressed or from a particular point of view... where you can't really see the abdominal muscles!

Honestly I'd like to see it soon after the first. I get attached to characters and all so it's like with another game in the series 'Who was that, that saved the world again? Ah well who cares!' type of deal.

As for returning characters I say defiantly have all the love interests return (unless they are on some mission and such) but of course have new characters unless you chose to romance another (prime example; Garrus from Mass Effect).

I was kind of disheartened when I chose thief class though and wanted to use bow but there's no bow skills really. >.>

Also I noticed you touched upon races. Well you could always invent a race. Example; Night Elfs from Warcraft are an adaptation of Dark Elfs.

The only thing I can say for sure is:
- will take place shortly after the 1st game (few years). this doesn't mean I won't do a prequel for sure though, I liked the idea
- main theme will be demons being accepted between humans
- there will be a lot more playing character outfit customization, and a 4th class. There will be a distinction between Mages and Healers. PC can choose any of those 4 classes
- the PC will be the also the main leader this time
- right now 6 of the characters present in the first game will be in the second, though I have yet to decide exactly who, I'm still thinking about it. But Rei & Amukiki for sure. Also some that weren't recruitable but present like Breza & Jul

-LOVE the idea it's AFTER the game. I despise prequels, don't ask me why I just do. please don't make one, I beg you!
-I like the idea of demons, maybe have a possible warlock class that can have a special romance for their summon or something? I dunno just throwing out an idea. XD
-I'm so glad on the customization! You have NO idea how heartbroken I was when I started Elenor that I couldn't be bow spec or more importantly mage/healer.
-I'm confused on how that's going to work, unless you decide to add subtitles to the title. Like, "Tales of the Ancients(Aravorn): Loren 2", or something like that so that it doesn't necessarily have to be about Loren all the time and more about Tales of and such.
-I'm happy to hear about the mixture. Everyone (including myself) likes seeing old and new faces. XD
