Loren2 is taking long also because has already twice the art of the first game, and I plan to add more. So already for that, requires more time...!

We're not being proper fans if we don't make unreasonable requests/demands from time to time, right?jack1974 wrote:Lol remember that the first, including the expansion was 240,000 words and had a LOT of zones/encounters/items so...

Re: Loren: The Sequel
If there is one character whose look I'd like to see altered somewhat it's Myrth. So for whatever it's worth, my vote is for a new sprite, one that is a little more curvy, and comes across as a little less skanky as a first impression. I have mixed feelings on her "bush clothes", they fit her her background, particularly when she's walking in the forest, but I imagine lots of problems with the locals over her attire in human cities, and hygiene issues depending on where she sits or otherwise walks through barefooted in both taverns and dungeons.jack1974 wrote:I haven't decided yet, but I might redo her too since the artwork as you noticed is quite different, so to have more uniform coloring I might redo her, but could just recolor the old sprite. Not sure if to keep her "bush clothes" or notP_Tigras wrote:While I've never been a fan of Breza's personality, I love her new outfit, both versions, although the one on the right should probably have a belt over the red fabric, not underneath it, otherwise I expect it will be doing a lot of flapping in the wind. Her curves are also just right for a slender gal with narrow hips and shoulders. I'd really like to see Myrth in a new outfit too. Is she getting new front view artwork as well?![]()
Ok, But why the oops/blush smilie? In any case I plan to have another "camp talk image" beside the standing sprite for each character.Well to know that you'll need to wait...P_Tigras wrote: BTW, the symbol on Breza's forehead, was that painted on? Or is it some sort of tat or ritual brand? And does it mean anything? Or is it purely cosmetic?![]()
I've refrained for the most part from commenting on PS because I didn't enjoy it, neither the story which I found far-fetched, nor the combat which I found cumbersome. I know you've assigned Loren's writer to PS2 and are in the process of designing an entirely new combat framework as well. So it looks like you're well on your way to addressing those issues for the sequel. Nevertheless my interest level in a PS sequel at this point is nowhere near the same as my interest level in a Loren sequel. It's very possible I may give one of the later beta's a shot if something about it eventually manages to pique my interest. At the moment however I'm finding it difficult enough to find the motivation to finish the original. A new RPG sounds potentially interesting however.RPGs takes time to make. There's PS2 meanwhile and perhaps a new one that will announce soonP_Tigras wrote:I'm not sure I can go that long before my next fix.

Yeah could have a new sprite with two outfits, the bush one and a more regular clothes one. Just so that people can't spot her from a miles away saying "look, the bush-woman!"P_Tigras wrote:If there is one character whose look I'd like to see altered somewhat it's Myrth. Ah only because I don't like to tease people making them wait for monthsP_Tigras wrote:Ok, But why the oops/blush smilie?
About the story, it gets better later in the game, the beginning indeed is not the bestP_Tigras wrote:I've refrained for the most part from commenting on PS because I didn't enjoy it, neither the story which I found far-fetched, nor the combat which I found cumbersome.
