Yes that's a problem of 2d games using hand drawn art. Having the sprite reflect all the different equipment would mean drawing lots of different items, outfits, make sure they match, etc. Definitely not practical, for that 3d works better. But I don't do 3d games

I don't do 3d games because they're too expensive, and honestly I prefer a good looking 2d game than a mediocre 3d game (what I would be able to do with my skill/budgets). If one day I can make a high quality 3d game, that will mean I'm having a good time

Even for 3D I'm certain it's still a pretty big pain in the butt. The difficulty in 2D is it simply increases the amount of art by... a lot. Like, as an example, even if you had only 2 different armor things, that still means you have to double the artwork load...

I want to make a suggestion. In Loren 2, please consider making it so we can click on the character protraits in a shop and open that particular character's rag doll. And please allow us to drag and drop characters in the inventory interface, so we can arrange our favorite 6 characters at the top of the lineup.

Re: Loren: The Sequel
I was thinking with Heileen 3 coming out and I have not played any of the Heileen games, it will be good to design the writing for Loren 2 in such a way that someone who has not played Loren 1, will still be able to get a summary of events in Loren 1 and can play Loren 2 without too many unanswered questions. And I hope Loren 2 will not have a totally new plot. I prefer the plot to be a logical continuation from Loren 1. And to have the old cast appear in the squeal as well. We are like old friends

Yes of course there will be a skippable introduction that continues the story from the first game and makes a quick summary of what happened. That's what we're doing also for Planet Stronghold 2
The drag&drop order in the inventory is an interesting idea. However Loren 2 might have a completely redesigned interface

Re: Loren: The Sequel

just had to show you this sketch. I'm having A LOT of art done for this game (and will be out in 2014 already because of that, coloring all the images will take MONTHS!). Most of the other sketches are spoilers, but this ons is just... cool! Breza riding a royal Griffon

Breza riding her Griffon looks incredible, she's so cool. I don't even mind that this won't be ready until 2014. I just know it's going to be well worth the wait!.
Please let this be one of the wallpapers when the game does come out, I would love to use it for my background.
