This is the single issue which would improve the game most.

That and having real choices in the the response, except just phrasing it differently (which only makes Loren a different ruler later on, but not if she is the one whi sacrifices herself...) For example, when we meet a companion, if Loren asks me, I would like to have the freedom to say "yes, she/he has valueable talents" or "no, stinks, is quarrelsome, we don't need her/him."

Seriously, sometimes I just want to see a few scenes on a different choice playthrough without playing the entire game over.

For dating sims might add the story mode, for RPG maybe I should ask as requirement to have beaten the game at least once, otherwise feels like cheating a bit

Oh definitely, I meant that sometimes I'd like to take a different route in the game without playing all the battles over again -- I mean, I'll play some RPGs tons of times, but after that it's nice to be able to skip some stuff.

I would love to see an option like that! I love playing the combat for the first two playthroughs or so, but afterwards I like to focus on the story and the decisions made for subsequent play-throughs!
