Won't that cause a rather large amount of work having to re-write entire alternate versions of the story if someone killed of the woman who's name is kinda on the game series? Especially considering the odds of how many or few people actually chose that route....(more so after the dlc options)

Don't get me wrong, that would be amazing....but I would rather you guys/gals don't go insane with work just for one feature.
While you will get some choices, there are others that will be the 'default' version. In this case, it will be assumed Loren and Karen survived, and more than likely it was Sauzer who absorbed the essence of the Deathknight (from events in the DLC). Otherwise, as you said, it would require a ton of writing.

The choices you make will include who you play as (Elenor or Saren), who, if anyone you romanced, whether Loren picked the Hawk Blade or the Ember Blade, etc.

You can choose your previous romance and few other things, but of course both Karen/Loren survived :) And only the beginning will change and some phrases through the game, otherwise it would be total madness to make different versions for every possible scenario!

I don't remember Sauzer getting any essence. Or Loren getting the Ember Blade. Then again I've only played Loren 1 once

If you played the regular game then you know about having to choose a "sacrifice". If you've played the dlc add-on, there are 2 new choices you can get for the ending ("can" get, but not forced to). One of those involves Sauzer getting a "spiritual enhancement".

If you have the dlc, you'll be able to get that ending too if you decide to go through again. ^^

Oh, I just had Zeal take it from me. I think that was a forced option.

I imagine this ship has sailed, at least for the first half of the game, but...

I really like what you're doing with Roommates, where if you choose one PC, the other still appears in the game as a possible love interest. So like, if you choose Saren then Elenor will also be a character. I think it would be really cool if you could implement that in some way in the Loren sequel(s). You wouldn't necessarily have to make them romanceable, as I think it might be too difficult to do at this point in production (I'm no expert though), but I like both PCs and think it would be interesting to see them interact, even if it's in a small way. It's plausible that they perhaps existed alongside each other as two different slaves in the first game, one just happened to be chosen to travel alongside Loren while the other didn't. I just think it would be cool to have them bond over life experiences or something :)
All hail Rei's booty.

Yes we're considering that thing indeed, that both Elenor/Saren existed in the first game and one accompanied Loren while the other remained at the Citadel. Need to brainstorm more to see possible headaches later in the story though so is not official yet :)

My two cents, I think such thing would be troublesome, for the sole reason that it would make an stabilished personality or behavior to each one of them "canon", like, Saren has a friendly personality or they are both straigth or hate/love the amazons or lived with dwarfs and what not. That would defeat the purpose of any choice attributed to him/her, since they won't matter, since their personality tastes and story was defined, not to mention, they sort of are the "same" person, the only diferrence is the romance and a few details, like, human or elf. There is no difference, therefore they, at least from my perspective cannot exist in the same world without stabilishing a permanent canon personality and working way too much in a back story. Loren 2 already have way too much romance(can't even believe I'm saying this) and adding two more romances just so they might be in the same world is quite too much work for pratically nothing. More money would be needed to pay the artist for two more romance scenes, more time would be wasted in them, the writers would have more trouble working yet another character and the list goes on. And at that pace, if it weren't enought, the game would only be released around 2020. "But what if he/she was just an recurring character, with a mention, a small scene and so? No problem, right?" Actually, some problems remain, like canon personality, canon class, useless story or time wasted trying into fit the character that would only exist "for the sake of it".
I hope I'm not sound terrible right now. I just think this is a really bad idea. For many reasons and could really be more trouble than its worth.

No I don't mean that the other one would be available as romance, only present in the story/world. That he/she existed and still exists and shows up, but not as romanceable character by the other one.
