I have to disagree with madence. I think Saren and Elenor were vastly different people with polar opposite personalities with the only thing in common being their devotion to their Country and overall being good people. I do admit that it would be difficult to incorporate, but not impossible. It would also grant a lot of flavor to the game itself, with the proper introduction on how it's handled within Loren2 it could really bring out a lot of good rather than bad. It also wouldn't be too hard to diversify the characters. If you play Saren and choose joking or friendly a lot, just have elenor lean more on the forceful side, or vice versa. Of course adding this would be more work for the development team, but that's exactly what this thread is about anyways, the possibility of adding things to their game. I think it'd be a welcomed addition.

The thing is, they would be a "canon" personality or story, unless they would act like a alternative universe, where Saren's father wasn't captured by the amazons therefore his son was never a amazon slave or elenor never strayed from her tribe and still live with them... But to avoid complication they really would need to be very very VERY small characters. What I said before(in my last post) wasn't only regarding the possibilitye of romance, but as other kind of character as well. It's your call, but is something to be considered. In future games( like SOTW or the still far away title Roger Steel the male and female protagonists are siblings, so it reduces this kind of thing a lot... And making a personality for them isn't all that troublesome, since could be an reflection from the protagonist personality and he/she could sorta "influenciate" the other into thinking like him or to take some choices.), would be wise to avoid putting both characters on the same world without them being siblings or making more of a fixed personality for each of them.

Hm I don't understand - Elenor / Saren background story would still be the same of the beginning of the first game. The only thing that would change is that you decided which one of the two went with Loren and which one remained at the Citadel.
The "opposite" won't be romanceable, nor be in the party. He/she will show up but for story reasons. Anyway, will talk more about this with Aleema, but the opposite plays a short role (albeit important). But is not like we're going to add 50,000 extra lines text of alternate story for the opposite character :)

Excellent ideas, Miakoda! I actually thought that Elenor/Saren's mistress actually died from a curse made by Grob, since the amazons were sick and acting like her in the beginning of her "strange disease". But why would Grob(and possibly Fost) kill her? Was she as much of a threat as Loren or Karen? I would like to think that she was, so she was killed so she might not pose a threat to them.

About the gifts... ^__^ I'm so enamored with the idea! But would be cute if some characters actually surprised us with what kind of gifts they would want. For example, we expect Chambara to be evil, violent and love anything with dark magic(but during the game she was actually bored by Elenor's/Saren's inquiries about it, in some romance scene), but she actually really liked candy? I'm only guessing(It could be anything surprising, that would be hinted in some dialogs), but it would be fun on learning new things about the characters likes and dislikes by such little things; after all, they are not fighting, studying and seducing ALL the time. They must have some hobbies besides the quest!

Sorry Madance, meant to rework my ideas, and accidentally hit delete, instead of edit (posting from work distracts me.)

Anyways, my two ideas were:

Elenor/Saren's Mistress: I liked the idea that Elenor/Saren was close to their mistress (and not in a romantic way :) ). Maybe she didn't die of natural causes, but maybe she was poisoned, or cursed by enemies. Maybe the ghost of the mistress visits Elenor/Saren on the anniversary of her death (or maybe in Elenor/Saren's dreams). Especially if they don't have any daughters, it may be up to Elenor/Saren to give them justice.

Winter Solstice Gifts: As established in the creation of Loren 1, Elenor/Saren gave a gift to their mistress for the Winter Solstice. It could be good to see Elenor/Saren continue the idea, especially if they have a paramour. Maybe give Chambara garters made from the guts of her enemies .

Actually, I could see why Grob would kill her mistress. If she was a threat, causing her death might have the conspiracy minded casting glances in Karen/Loren's direction. For that matter, though, an Amazon enemy could do it.

Actually, I find Chambara to be mischievous, not evil. She can be dangerous, but a lot of her bluster is a pose to keep all but the most dangerous away anyways.

And some of that does come through. Draco has an artistic side, such as when he made the phoenix with his fire magic.

Exactly. Draco also mentioned his appreciation for elven clothes and empire food. So, good point to start. Amukiki could like some mementos of his tribe, to remember them by, Karen is quite elegant and seemed to like wine(in some scene, I don't remember if is a romance scene or not, she mentioned that she enjoyed Cidadel's Wine, and Elenor could mention how Mead tasted and would bring some for her to try some day) and other beverages...
There are things to work with. Would be nice if this idea was implemented.

And by "evil"... Chambara isn't, she have a gold heart(maybe slightly blood stained, but who cares? Its cute anyway) and she like to keep others thinking of her as evil so they might not approach her and see her for what she really is: The cutest, playful/mischievous girl ever. That's why I think she would like cute things, albeit dark ones(I so wanted to see her with some gothic lolita fashion... A girl can dream)... But of course, some FUN involving death and destruction would also be great.^_____________________^

If we take what happened in the first game's selection into account, maybe that gift the mistress gave to Saren/Elenor before she died could be something actually important. Like that enchanted ring was stated to be a family heirloom, and even if the mistress said it wasn't important, it might actually be. If anything, that really kind of shows how much she cared about Saren/Elenor, cause I was under the impression that slaves weren't really treated well in general by the Amazons. I am curious exactly how Saren's and Elenor's backgrounds are like, since even if they were both slaves, they are different genders and races, so that might have affected how they were treated

I'm sorry to drop this question right here, but has there been any intel if Trouble the inferno hound is going to make a reappearance? I think he was a nice addition to the story in the first game, and I don't think he was mentioned at the end of it either. Not during the trials of Fost or in the post story. Even though he was a minor character, I still wonder what came of him. Has anyone else wondered if he stayed with Draco or if he simply went away?

Heh that's a good question indeed. At the moment haven't decided it, but I guess should be mentioned somewhere in the sequel what happened (or maybe he could still be a party member).

Well, I shall wait for possible news about this decision. Until then I have a lot more questions and suggestions written down and they would like an answer to go with them.

Before that however, and while I am at commenting the characters of the previous game, I want to praise you for the innovative use of Doras character model during her personal quest. I am of course refering to the situation where she was sneaking in the tavern amidst the guards and trying to reach the treasure map. The way that situation was presented was both hilarious and adorable at the same time. I liked it.
