I don't suppose you can have it so that when a group of people fight together for a while, they interact in someway? I liked that you could talk to everyone at the camp in Loren 1, as it made it easier to know about the people you fight with, but besides plot advancement, jealousy scenes, and a occasional wacky scenario, we never actually see our companions interact with each other. Not necessarily romances, but have them interact via cutscene to show that they were a group of heroes that slowly warm up to each other and become friends...or rivals, ether way.
Like, say Dora and Rei started to debate which was better, the bow or crossbow, and had a little contest. Or say Draco, messing around with fire spells, gets taught by Myrth on fire hazards in the forest. Someone else can probably think of better examples, but interaction with each other would make it feel more vibrant I guess.

^ I like that idea if it's done in moderation. When done right, it can flesh out their personalities. Too much though can hurt the pacing.

Going through a replay, I remembered that in Chapter 2, you can train with Breza and her goblin slaves. When Grob poisoned the Citadel, could he have gotten help from the goblin slaves?

He was able to do some illusion magic before to change what people looked like. Since the Amazons don't ever really use magic, I don't they really have magical defenses to see through something like thatMiakoda wrote:Going through a replay, I remembered that in Chapter 2, you can train with Breza and her goblin slaves. True, his illusion magic is without equal. Guess it just would have been an interesting tie-in is all.
It does make me wonder that since Loren specifically frees the human and elf slaves, but does she also do that with the goblin ones, exile them, or put them to do death?

She probably frees them or exiles them. I mean, we haven't exactly seen them in a positive light, but I doubt Loren is gonna kill all of them based off past experiences. It's kind of like the Geth in Mass Effect. We didn't like them and saw them as the enemy until Legion appeared and changed our perspectives. Then again, Grob was the one who poisoned the Amazons, and grudges can carry pretty deep.Miakoda wrote:True, his illusion magic is without equal. Chambara shape changes
Just out of curiosity, have you thought about some way of allowing Chambara to take on another shape in combat? It wouldn't have to be many, but in Loren 1 she is definitely fond of the Giant Scorpion

Yes that would be cool to see indeed. I'll definitely try to do that. We need more shapeshifters!

Re: Features you want the most?
I'm positive that somewhere on these forums there was a mention about crafting for the Loren 2. I do not remember if someone posted anything on that topic, but nevertheless here I go:
Has it been considered that enemies in their defeat could drop crafting materials? Leather, metals, herbs, those kinds of things. Players could then return to a city, go to shop (or blacksmith), create a specific armor, weapon, potion, bomb, poison, etc from gathered materials for a small fee. The amount of fee could depend on the popularity in the city (if the popularity feature is still present). Party members could then use/equip the created items or player could sell them in shops for more gold.
And one other thing:
I do not know how useful the possible poisons could be in battle. The battles in Loren 1 used to be over pretty quick. Except on Hard difficulty. However, there could be many kinds of poisons and different potencies as well. And then there is the problem of using the poisons in battle. Maybe with poison bombs, or maybe with weapon that’s special effect is poisoning an opponent.
Does anyone have opinion/info on these subjects?

"Now, hold on a minute. I'm currently speculating."

Disclaimer: We're only in the brainstorming phase for the sequels gameplay. So there simply isn't any definite information at the moment.
That said we have considered crafting material drops and the idea is still in the race. But we're also thinking about a drastic redesign of the equipment system (How drastic? Someone on the team suggested doing away with items completely.) Still the chances are very high that the sequel will end up with a crafting system and that implies some way to get ingredients.
Damage over time effects will be in the sequel as well, though I'm not sure if poison will be among them. It could end up as a weakening effect instead for example.
