Definitely would be interested in seeing character interaction being affected by romancing routes that ended up going nowhere, as Saren/Elenor went for someone else, and am totally cool with being able to try and restart that. Cause drama and conflict only makes things better! But only if it wasn't much extra time/work to do, the wait is already killer, haha.

Honestly, I'd rather have a "can't romance characters from last game unless you start with that romance" system. Having a "we didn't get together last time" version of each romance would certainly be neat--but it seems like having major variations on a path will always come at the expense of depth/length for each variation. I'd rather have one super-awesome path with a few minor variations.

Depends how long time passes between the two games. If it's enough for one or both of the characters to change, then there could certainly be a "you weren't what I was looking for, but now you are" scenario.

Considedring there are plenty of new options, I don't feel it is necessary to be able to begin from fresh for the old romances, I would much rather have the rival romance scene option be remembered, I have full confidence that Alemeena can handle it tastefully.

No that was already discussed, the "old romances" will continue from the previous game. Makes no sense to "reset" them at beginning of new story

I certainly agree that it could make sense plotwise, my objection is purely based on Aleema (sadly!) not having infinite writing energy. It seems like the ways to implement this are either to have two romance paths for a character that vary rather significantly (and are thus probably both shorter than they would have been), or to have a short "Rejecting you was a mistake" scene and then have the romance proceed almost as normal (which seems like it would lead to less depth, since the scenes can't assume they've been together a while OR that it's a new relationship.) I'd rather have each existing romance get an extra scene or more dialogue customization based on Elenor/Saren's background/personality than have an "I rejected you last time" version.

Hmm... I must have misunderstood the discussing then. As I understodd it the discussion was about wherever the the returning romance characters could begin a romance with the PC in loren 2 if they didn't start one in the first,beside having the option of continuing from the first game. (such as if you if you don't romance Myrht in the first and then pick no romance at the start of the game) you could teorecticall start a romance wiht her in 2 from scratch. Which I feel is unnecessary because we have new characters. Not that I am military against it if the time is for such a branch (previously romanced/not romanced), but it is certainly not my first priority wish.

No I know Aleema said wouldn't make sense to have new "let's know each other" early dialogues for the old characters, so with them the only option would be to begin as a continuing a romance from previous game. At least that's what I understood

Personally I would love to see a continuation of the Saren-Loren-Myrth love triangle, others too but mainly that one, if Aleema can pull it off this would without a doubt be the RPG sequel everyone dreams of. So if she thinks she can without delaying the release till 2016 then please do, it just seems like a lot of extra work for her that could really hurt an already great game. Your raising my expectations so high for this game every awesome thing you keep adding is just getting me more and more nervous.

There are moments in Loren 1 when the background sounds have suddenly vanished leaving the player to read story in silence. This is awkward. Could it be possible that in the sequel during the game chosen soundtracks would repeat themselves until story meets a plot point that dictates otherwise or the event ends.
