Small, small suggestion/request

Ya, okay, after getting my hopes up and then saddened I got to thinking about it to. There is no games with like mermaids in it! Like I mean set underwater and stuff! I think an otome/RPG or something like Loren or PS would be perfect for it. Honestly there was an old Japanese RPG all underwater/mermaid named Shinkai Densetsu Meremanoid. I believe there was and anime that was loosely based off it to. Pictures to prove it:

Here is a site with more pictures of the characters:
http://www.geocities.co.jp/aliqua/yamada/y_02.html and screenshots of the game

I noticed another indi is actually doing an otome game with dragons in it based of ancient china which I am very excited for. Dragons, mermaids and fairies are one of the least done things in games in my opinion. Especially mermaids. Fairies are actually in a game called Growlanser and your character can actually end up with it in the end. I adore the Growlanser series because of that and even bought a figure because of it.
It's just my opinion here but I would love to see the untapped mystery of underwater and mermaids/mermen in a otome/rpg/sim type of game done by you.
http://chael.deviantart.com/gallery/ does a fine example of the different types of mermaids/mermen that there are. Shark men among many others.

I really do hope you take a look at them and the ones I think are very nice. It would mean a lot to me if you took me seriously and actually look at them... I spent a lot of time looking through gallery's and such in hope of helping you...

Thanks for the idea, it sounds really interesting indeed! Will seriously take it into consideration

After the current batch of games I have already another planned game but it's sort of a "jolly" because the artist that is doing the art (the same that will do Bionic Heart 2) is very good but busy doing comics/personal stuff, so I never know when he is sending me images. When he does, they're beautiful like this:
but the mermaid/merfolk idea is really intriguing and I think will try to start it as soon as I can. Thanks a lot!
And thanks also about the portfolios, I was following already 1-2 people on the list but beside the skills there are also other things to consider (how much they want and how much they're reliable!). In any case they're always good to take as reference

I really hope you do take it into consideration. If not merfolk seeing as they may be less popular maybe fairies? Imagine how interesting that could be. Starting off with a girl being turned into a fairy then going on an adventure to find out how to turn back normal. Meet other fairies, their town and fall in love

, get kidnapped by a bird! Fight off bugs/squirrels/cats (ya that one picture sorta inspired all this) and maybe find out how she got turned into a fairy and turn back normal or maybe stay a fairy to be with her new love~ X3 There's numerous idea's that could be used for the fairy one as well.

Indeed, I was thinking that myself as I was looking at them but I'm not sure how you go about pricing and such so I thought I'd just show you some gallery's I thought were very well done and maybe you could work something out with one/some. I hope they are useful though.

Sorry for resurrecting an old thread, but I would also be interested in a game that took place underwater with mermaids and such.
And thanks, Carmentis, for sharing that Japanese mermaid game. I will have to check it out.

Yes is definitely an interesting setting, I agree. Once I finish the current "batch" of games will think about it

I'd like dolphins instead of mermaids... Ecco the Dolphin was one of my favourite games.
