Re: about this RPG

the party will learn in the early stages of the story that is better not mess with this powerful wizard. After all, if he has a floating hand holding his staff, he must very powerful right??
(the magic circle is animated, I captured the image while the animation was playing)

Never fear the wizard, nor the floating hand - but always fear the animated magic circle in the air!(the magic circle is animated, I captured the image while the animation was playing)

Re: about this RPG
Sorta assumed that he just had a henchman behind him holding one of the Flash Gordon golden-hand guns. I'm honestly more frightened of his peacock feather/cockroach antennae headdress. If Dynasty Warriors has taught me anything, it's not to screw with dudes holding peacock feathers or wearing antennae headdresses.
...Though, not both at once, I guess. Maybe they... cancel each other out?

every time I see a scene of Riley I laugh. In this case because I know how "heroic" is his tale

They seem to be a bit overdressed in the dungeon.
All of them.

Ah no actually is only Vaelis that's still wearing his winter clothing
the others are OK. Dingirra wants its slaves to dress properly, especially those fighting in the Arena

Re: about this RPG
So, uhm, I might have terrible news... I didn't hear from the character artist since over one month. He took long pauses like that even in the past, but when I was asking for updates he always replied. Not this time.
For Loren 2 at least the art is all done, so that game is safe. But for this one, the art is half-done. Which means that if he somehow disappear forever, I'd have to redo ALL the character's art
and as consequence, goodbye to Q1 release on this game. It will still be done, but need to find another good artist and he/she should redo all the art, and that will require LONG time.
I'm going to wait until January before making the decision in any case.
When such things happens, I'm tempted to start making 3d or pixel art games like anyone else

Re: about this RPG
I thought the guy already did art for several of your games? I could undersstand someone who jumps ship in the middle of the first project, but after so many finished ones? Very sad, if it happens... Hopefully he will come back.
Anyways, thanks for keeping us in the loop.
And please do no not switch the art style just for this. Pixelart or 3D may make wonderful games but it would not be the same... it's something other devlopers do quite well too. (Except if you have an idea which cannot work with Renpy+Manga-art, then of course switch the tools to fit the project. But not for this.)
Let's hope. Thumps up.

Yes, I'm pretty sure that the guy didn't just gave up, he is reliable, so something else must have happened. Maybe is nothing and he went on holiday for 2 weeks
but as you can imagine I'm quite worried!
And yes I didn't mean do 3d or pixel art for SOTW! But trying with something else, some other game which I can do 80% on my own, and not relying so much on external artists (writers can be replaced if needed, but art no), so I know that there won't be problems.
At least on the good news is that PS2 art should be finished in early next year, so at least for that game all is left is coding/writing
