Yes, I am thinking to do like I did with Loren: as soon as one "season" or if you prefer part of the story is fully coded, will "open the gates" this way people won't need to wait until Summer, but could be playing the first season (Winter) maybe even in April.
Be warned though that with Loren the testing was rough, players helped me to balance the game better but there were several cases in which the savegames wouldn't work anymore and had to restart from beginning I don't think will happen with this game since the base tech behind the game is more solid now, but you never know!

Actually, you can lose this fight and still keep going in the story, though you'll miss something important later on...
