we believe in your writers jack

Taleweaver is a male and is the writer of SOTW (we are in that game forum after all). Loren 2 will be written still by Aleema!
I think Dunkalar meant that Aleema should watch over Taleweaver but I don't think he'll need help. But will show her the script to check for potential "world building mistakes" (don't know how to call it!) like with Dark magic that could be used to teleport (posted about that a few weeks ago).

Writer arrived up to scene 06, there's already a good amount of texts, but I'm also going to add some side quests and allow some free roaming (as said before until a certain level, so you can't grind forever and reach level 99!). Around 15k words until now, but there isn't yet any camp dialogue, is only the story. It's about mid-way of the Spring season act, so I'm optimistic that the whole script can be done by September. Then of course I need to finish the game! Being forced to NOT work now because of house renovating works is a pain, as I'm really eager, but I think will take a short break in August to relax (since basically I didn't have a moment of break this year!) but from September will be working fullspeed.
...of course those are the last famous words, I think probably will resume working a bit every day after the noise is gone

Is there no place where you can go to with a laptop and a GSM stick and work there. Maybe someplace where they also serve coffee
Of course taking a vacation is also a good idea - I can wait a few weeks longer, but it would be horrible if you got burned out and could not continue.
Anyway, it is good to hear there is progress.

I tried using a laptop but don't know, I don't feel comfortable without my usual stuff at home, the desktop, the keyboard, mouse etc. Anyway the renovating works will be done in a week so not much more to wait

And don't worry no risk of burning, I am in a condition where I MUST make some money before end of year, so I'll be very motivated to finish this game this year

you could ease the waiting time with new previews, e.g. the romance options ;-P

One thing I want to know about this game is how it will be like Loren. Im suspecting it wont be as epic as Loren but will be more roleplaying involved with 2 characters?
Loren Amazon Princess was and still is the best party based game with lots of tactics involved. When I compare games I like, the infinity engine games are very high on top even though they are real time. Its only natural that almost no party based games other than them get on my list. Avadon is on there, but Loren is much better in that regard as the tactics and flexibility along with story are much better. When I play a fighter or any character in Avadon, my character is shooting arrows which might not make sense. In Loren, if your a fighter, your using a blade
But yeah, most party based games just fail to do anything that other similar games don't do better. Theres always going to be like 30 turn based party based games out there, but as far as I can see there are only really 3 companies that make them, lol.

I use the same engine as Loren so the battles will be very similar even if somehow different in term of small details, layout, etc. I am not sure how you define "epic"

but while initially was supposed to be a smaller game, now in terms of word count is already at 40,000 words and not a single camp talk dialogue has been written. I think there'll be less of those and more story and/or variants of the battles, more gameplay vs Loren. But is still too early to say

today almost finished coding the new vendor GUI, trying to make it more intuitive. Still some bugs when you try to sell equipped items, but the rest seems to work fine

Story-wise, I just read Chalassa's quest today, which is close to the final scenes of the second act/season. So it's about halfway (though in term of writing and game length I am not sure yet how much that is).
Once I finish the vendor screen (hopefully tomorrow) I can begin to code the battles at last and the main storyline (then there are the side quests that will be added later).
