Is ancient snow elven language and means "Coming soon"
Joking, I have no clue is something the artist did :)

Sorry about the gif filesize (is 2mb!) but wanted to show you a low-res version of Shea/Althea cozy home at night :)
(image looks blurred because of GIF compression and obviously in the game is MUCH better)

finished the level up screen, added various small touches like showing the unassigned attribute/skill points. I'm at good point in coding the game but still need to think about the map system and the side-quests... mumble mumble

Why does each character have different experience points?

In that case is a bug (I fixed it) because it's a level up you get when you recruit Vaelis for the first time, so Shea/Althea don't get any EXP.
After each battle, based on the number of kills characters receive a slight bonus. I'm thinking if to keep it or change, but since there isn't any "healer" specific class in this game it might work :)
(healers would be disadvantaged of course since they mostly heal but don't kill enemies)

Nice to see how the game comes along. Hopefully the elven inscription ("coming soon") in the healer shop applies. ;-)

I noticed that waaayyyy back when I played Loren the first time, a char got a small bonus for a kill. This summer, when playing again after buying N'Mar, no longer so. Was this precisly because healers got less experience? If so, it was not enough in Loren to make a real difference. (Sorry if OT.)

How will the chars be placed if more than 3 or 4 are present on the screen? (I mean the left hand part.)

Yes initially was present in Loren but I decided to remove it since indeed the main hero was a healer. I'm sure it wouldn't have made much difference but maybe in the long run you could "lose" 1-2 levels. Anyway to avoid complaints I removed it  I am not sure I'll keep it in this game too, since is still not really fair (maybe a fighter does 90% damage, and a thief kills 2 enemies with two critical hits, but overall did less damage...).
I'll need to scale down the images indeed, because 6 wouldn't fit right now on the left of the screen :)

Actually, I liked the extra XP for kills. It gave a (small) additional tactical decision: Kill now, with whoever has the turn now, or wait 'til the guy/gal needing XP boost most gets his/her turn. With the downside that the enemy might get healed or hurt the party in the meantime. But well, the game will be enjoyable either way (just like Loren).

I thought that you would just add up/down arrows or something, but yes: having them all on one page is better.

I just got the battle voices from my trusted "voice actors manager"...(same one that did the voices for PS1 and Loren) they are AMAZING! 8)
I'm uploading a few to show them in next blog post. Riley's voice is simply PERFECT for the character, but even all the others are great: Krimm seems a real raging barbarian, Chalassa whispering voice is quite sexy  and in general I'm really happy about the result!
