Haha yes I was unsure if to allow the bombs or not. Should I? they were used a lot on Loren, so I kept them, but raised the price. Not sure...

Did you check in the potions shop (Shagala)? there are healing potions there :)
Yes. Even looked under her bed, strip searched her and had Shea empty her chamberpot. No healing potions.
About the quests/location I think I put wrong numbers in the checks, the right ones should be: 7 quests and 6 locations. Will update it on next update.
I had 7/6 locations found at the start of the third chapter and got the bonus at 4 locations.
1 skill on start + 1 on level 2 + 1 on level 4 + 1 on level 6 = 4 skills when you're level 6. Then the others would be every 3 levels. I need to make sure to update the descriptions, but makes sense to give them earlier.
Yes, it's not that big a change. Level 2 and 3 are pretty close together. But it took a while to go to level 6 for the next skill and you barely have time to use it.

It was 400 gold or so for the 150 dmg bomb - I think a fair price (bang per buck-wise :)). As some kind of emergency hell-machine useful, at this price point not used for normal opponents.

And the spider wasn't _that_ hard without the backpack-nuke: Study opponent and take aim are your friends, took me 4-5 rounds.

But something completely different: The purify-skill is described as "..reduces negative conditions" - is that actually implemented? It seems to have no effect on staggered, poisoned and paralyzed.

Staggered isn't really a negative condition in the framework. The other two are of course.

0.74 in general is much easier than the 0.72 version. I even managed to (barely) kill a Snowtiger Alpha before getting Vaelis. That was on my run faster list in the old version.

oh, this should be impossible? I downed the beast in 0.73 with the twins while still level 2 (I think). but anyway, I'm more a casual player - enough nightmares, back to normal; I'm not really fond of restarting battles :)

edited to add: The spider mission was also with 0.73

OK will make sure there are enough healing potions then :)
I rechecked again, and this time I'm sure: the final count is 8 quests and 6 locations. I am going to update both the display and check on next update.

Yes it's a very high price indeed. For now will keep as it is then :)

Yes should remove all beside staggered. I think I need to add to the list the new effects I have added myself though (or I must find a way to cycle through the negative condition of a target and eliminate them all!).

Regarding difficulty, I think it varies greatly depending on which skills and items you carry. For normal encounters, the Hide in Shadows+Critical Hit of Hunter against 1-2 enemies is deadly, will let you win any battles if you have enough mana :)

In general though, I prefer if this first part, even in Nightmare mode, leans towards the "easy" than "impossible" since after all is just the first part of the story.

@ renke_s Snowtiger Alpha
Don't know if there were changes to that between 0.72 and 0.73. It's mostly a question how often that beast uses pounce. Pounce can two shot you and it gets two round sometimes.

I solved this with hide in shadows and defend. The damage level gets managable while the druid missiles the tiger - after 3 rounds of hiding even a front-line hunter survives the remaining two attacks.

+1

But I don't know what to whine about anymore if it can't be balance :P although I heavily agree with Anima's point that you can't really cast many spells with the early mana pool.
If at first try it doesn't explode, it ain't Jack who wrote the code.

Didn't try that combination yet. Now I wonder if the Hunter wouldn't make the better tank. Just bump Skill, Constitution and Will and than simply sit there and get pounded. Not exactly what you'd envision for that class but kinda hilarious.
