I guess the issue is it turns into night, because if you track them at night it stays night. So if you wanna do the quest and it's day, you should go rest until night first

When you track the pelt thieves, day turns into night but you don't heal. It does when you wait for the ratmen. Intended?

If at first try it doesn't explode, it ain't Jack who wrote the code.

Yes, but I can add a healing indeed, makes sense!
_renke said the game seems harder now, so let me know since you play at Nightmare level. I didn't change any difficulty setting but all the bugfixes might have made the game different (ie. bleeding effect that got increased duration by mistake, etc).

Re: SOTW 0.8.7b - First Act Beta preview!
I learned much when I beat the last one so I don't think I'll find it harder. I think I've found a quite powerful tactic for the first season, but it only works with a small party
BTW I updated post check it.

Are you sure about shop restock timers? I find myself saving before going to shops, and if they've restocked, I just reload until I like their new inventory. I wouldn't mind a button to random a new selection...
...especially after reloading 20+ times
A bunch of stuff about Recover:
- The tooltip for the actual buff is totally wrong
- Vaelis has 2 regen from items, but when he uses Recover it says his regen is 20
- ...and then it restores at least 30 mana per turn. I can't say if it's more because I can't spend more
it was working correctly before I combined it with the regen item.
I am sending you a save so you can try it, heaven knows I had to reload a lot to get that necklace.
Also just for shits and giggles I tried selling the kodiak's pelt before telling Astor I had killed it and we still used it as evidence
also 7/8 quests done chapter one!

Re: SOTW 0.8.7a - First Act Beta preview!
I've noticed what seems to be a bug with Vaelis's Final Blow skill.
When an enemy has under 30% health, just mousing over the ability will kill the enemy without using stamina or ending Vaelis's turn.
This has happened several times in multiple fights with regular enemies, but it didn't happen with bosses.

That happens only the first time, after the first time you enter, if you exit and reload 20 times it will always be the same. You can get same effect (for now!) if you enter a shop and then use mousewheel to rollback. I left those things during beta but will eliminate them in final versionyayswords wrote:Are you sure about shop restock timers? Ah OK, the interaction with the regen item must screw things a littleyayswords wrote: A bunch of stuff about Recover:

Haha but party kept an ear as a proof!yayswords wrote: Also just for shits and giggles I tried selling the kodiak's pelt before telling Astor I had killed it and we still used it as evidencealso 7/8 quests done chapter one!
Ah that's the bug people were talking about. Yes on bosses doesn't happen because the insta-kill doesn't work on bossesSirJid wrote:When an enemy has under 30% health, just mousing over the ability will kill the enemy without using stamina or ending Vaelis's turn.

Oh I meant I was reloading the save, not reclicking the shop. Well I did that, after reloading the save. Silly me not to think of the mouse wheel.

Are the items that can be looted from the goblin camp intentionally always in the same locations? I seem to be finding them always in the same spots: kind of destroys the whole point of having 4 locations to choose from.

Well if you replay it for the 50th time yes
the first time you don't know where they are.
I can put all in random locations but any walkthroughs would make no sense then...

Kidding, I see your point, thanks for the clarification.
