It takes too long to assign Riley's skill points.
(Because I can't decide)

If at first try it doesn't explode, it ain't Jack who wrote the code.

Re: SOTW 0.8.10 - Second Act Beta!
Yeah I'm considering those. The only skills I've ruled out are
Energy Transfer: Can't see him getting the regen to play with that, and if he could, it would be Mana Battery v2 again and I would just whine about it.
Magic Limbo: Because I will reload every time that 75% chance doesn't happen.
Mirror Damage: Doesn't mix well with the playstyle I have in mind.
My first pick was Energize, and I've also taken Ghost Form, because that seems a ridiculously good buff for mages, with very low SP/delay. Also good for tanks if they're not gonna attack anyway. Remaining two haven't been decided yet
I ended up taking Mana Burn and Shadow of Death (because my druid can't cause dark damage).

Yay! Up and running here! Started from an old save. That end-of-trial teaser almost gave me a heart-attack, but I'm fine now. (yeah, bath house images popping up w/o warning)
Anyway, off to play I am.

I saw this in Ninim (in this build) but now in Dingirra too so here goes: I have majorly poor FPS on the map screens.
Weren't we supposed to lose our gold BTW?

I've improved the map stuff from early builds, maybe you could get better results playing in DirectX mode?
Here it works fine, I have a normal test PC (Intel i2120 and an Ati Radeon 4670, so quite old HW). Depends what you mean by poor FPS though. I notice some slowdowns on my computer but is still perfectly playable. Before final release I'll try to see what I can do to optimize but I think is a limit of the engine I'm using
Ah yes the gold
forgot to do that. For now I won't update just for that, on next one will happen though!

What's DirectX mode?
Okay, and check this. Riley's Energize and Ghost Form aren't friends. If you try to buff someone with both, you'll just extend the duration of what's already there. Or you will replace what's already there and get the duration it still had.

Ah forgot to set a unique Id for each
fixed. As said I'll wait until I fix several bugs before doing an update (unless is a crash that breaks the game) since I have other stuff to do in these days
Anyway if you want a quick fix replace the file in the installation folder subdir game/ with this one:

Re: SOTW 0.8.10 - Second Act Beta!
Kay kay kay kay total plot fuckup there.
All I've done so far is go to the Lugals, talked to them and fought their mercenaries. NOT easy mercenaries by the way, at least if I have to fight three such packs for each family it will take a lot of regen dancing.
I then went to the Gamesh territory and there's some tailory that I can visit that some Galanna (never met) spoke about, according to the tooltip. I go there and... well, I don't think I need to spoil what happens, it's pretty clear to me I shouldn't be able to go there yet.

Haha yes, exactly that's one of the late quest that gets triggered in a wrong moment. Ok going to fix
are all easy things to fix, but there are so many that I lost track!
Needless to say, for now DON'T visit that place because for sure will break stuff later. If you ignore it you should be able to play normally.
I'm also going to make the first mercenaries encounters easier on next update.
