Chalassa's bleeding effect doesn't work on Boss anymore, since was too powerful otherwise!
but but but I said I need that for her flashback :( could also just not flag the guy as boss though

And it's not like she's the only one with a bleed, she does however have crazy high attack and it's 10 duration. Anyway Madness maybe needs a minimum of 1 damage too?

About Chalassa's bleeding, I was thinking to only reduce the bleed duration on bosses but... I wanted to stop putting hack over hack over hack in the code
Yes madness needs minimum 1 too, will add it :)

Yeah I just tried that. It worked, the problem is that PC would remain "selected" after the battle, with an "Empty" under his portrait. If you start the battle, indeed there's nobody at his place. The problem is that almost half of the "new things" I have added on SOTW are total hacks - not supported at all, Anima said several times "use / try it at your own risk"
In practice I'm using the engine in several different ways it wasn't supposed to when was designed/coded :)

Maybe Krimm or Vaelis can get max damage bleeds too. Duration isn't really the issue. Seems hard enough to get max ticks on nukes though.

Yes because "Bleed" is not a normal effect. It's hack n° 31209803153 I made to the engine  so it's particularly powerful since there is no resistance that can prevent/reduce the damage. You get max damage bleed with Chalassa because of her crazy high Attack value, but is not hard-coded.

By the way, are you planning to allow Rollback in the final version of the game? It's neat to have for the Beta phase now, but it basically breaks the game balance (shop-rouletting and stuff).

No no, will disable it  so people will stop playing "the lottery" !
I tried again, but the fake Chalassa thing is really impossible. I thought I managed to do it, and then found out two copies of Chalassa in the party, one with Rowinda's face and another with Chalassa's face  at this point I give up, not worth adding bugs for just 1 battle.

Hi,

0.8.15 seems to start me off in what I believe to be the second act (or at least I start off in an arena, whereas I was under the impression that the first act starts off in a snowy village). Is there a way to start off in the first act, to get a chance to get the various skills and experience I'd normally have at that point? (Or does the story really start off in the arena?)

oh sorry, probably I worded this incorrectly; this wasn't meant as This Sucks but I was completely sure the text will include a carbon allotrope joke - and it just didn't came ;)
