O_O you can't apply the damage penalty to melee damage only?

I never got the impression they felt bad about it because of Yeldin. It was always oh my god killing is so wrong we are rampant pacifists. I'll check more closely when I get there again.

That's because they don't have pelts.

Goodie, I'll take my 3rd prowl around the city after I've updated.

I do have a nice collection of screenshots of mobs I've encountered on EASY-mode v0.8.15, though.

Yes is what I'm doing now, the problem is that the rules check what items the character is wielding when attacking. But in this case even if you attack with a bow, for the game you're still wielding the melee weapon. So if your melee weapon is 2H you get a penalty even with ranged

But I think I can add another check, if damage is not ranged will cause the condition to trigger, otherwise not (so all ranged attacks works normally).

What! Dark elves pelt-ahem skins are very precious!!

This time you won't - in practice you get zero opponent in the backrow and much lower level vs Hard/NM. I think now should be Easy for real!

Remember that there is a flag for ranged attacks. So you don't have to do (more) crazy stuff for that.

Yes already fixed and tested here, but I'll wait to do another update to see if there are more issues first!

It may make more sense if you realize that most arena fights aren't actually to the death.
For instance, get defeated in one of the Beastmaster Challenges, or even against the Brothers Ironmonger. They're going to leave you alive. Why? So that the audience will see more of you getting your butt kicked. Of course, in the battle against Krimm, she lets her bloodlust get the better of herself, so this battle is deadly if you lose, and also the one against the Four Elements, who technically only want Chalassa dead, but you're in the way.
Look at how shocked even Krimm is to find out the Blades of the Moon actually killed the Fearsome Five. Yeah, she fought them in the ring, but they were arena slaves just like her. If even she feels like that, how would Althea and Shea feel?
