Re: SOTW 0.8.16 - Second Act Beta!
I remember getting the impression that the Blades killed the FF of their own volition. Vengefulness would be my expected reaction.
If at first try it doesn't explode, it ain't Jack who wrote the code.

What's the difference between the standard and bonus content versions?

Thanks, I knew that trying to do that could lead to problem. I think really will just skip that thingrenke_ wrote:and after the battle the game crashed....

Spoiler:
This meme seems appropriate:

It's only the soundtrack in MP3 and wallpapers, the game is the same. A sort of "we want to support the devs more" and get some nice stuff in exchange, but the game is identicalgrisia wrote:What's the difference between the standard and bonus content versions?

Re: SOTW 0.8.17 - Second Act Beta!
End of EASY-mode, all quests completed and areas found....
Levels: Riley, Vaelis, Shea, Althea = 16, Krimm = 15, Chalassa & Jariel = 14, Rowinda = 12
Played with version 0.8.15 up to the Chalassa and Four Elements fight, after that, version 0.8.16. Since the mobster count for random merc battles is now down for EASY-mode, I don't think one can earn quite as much XP anymore.... lulz. Please note that I didn't play as the "assumed average" EASY-mode player, as I was frankly, grinding the maps clean, not only "experiencing the story".
With these levels and 7 attribute point per level in EASY, I already unlocked some trait-achievements (think they were constitution and skill)
Bug: I couldn't visit the Galanna palace on my last day anymore. I bought two potions right after the quest was finished. But clicking on the house on the last day got me nowhere. Also the explanation of what they are offering to sell to you was played twice: I had to exit the palace (or was kicked out) after buying the first one, so upon reentering the dialogue played again. Not needed, I think.
Found some wonky stuff with the graphics again, I'll try to list those in a bit as well. (o.O bathhouse..)
Merc battle-fight are now definitely easy, as they should be, imo. I'll post more on difficulty levels on individual fights in a bit in the other thread.

Re: SOTW 0.8.17 - Second Act Beta!
Thanks for the report. I think I need to increase the starting XP of Chalassa, Jariel and Rowinda when they first join your party since they are stuck to the old values, and they don't fight much in this act (not as the other 4!).
As for easy in the last update I've even added 20% autoheal before each battle on Easy/Normal only. I won't make it easier than that, no more excuses

Re: SOTW 0.8.17 - Second Act Beta!
The difficulty of "normal" in 0.8.15 (sorry I am WAAAYYYY back behind the cutting edge) feels good now. I played just the delivery mission from the start of spring, due to "not enough time"; possibly this does not apply to later quests/fights. You want to avoid the house mercenaries, they are a bit of danger; but you can use them for grinding when necessary.
I noticed that all chars but the snowelves have very high stats when they join, much higher than what I expect for their level - and this is before I add the skills and attributes. On the other hand their gear is horribly lacking, considering that both Riley and Krimm are experienced gladiators and should have put all their earnings into getting better swords and armor. (Or magic staffs and armor...)

Re: SOTW 0.8.17 - Second Act Beta!
Oh, I forgot to say in the previous post, that Rowinda's candy was bugged out in in the Galanna -quest. I had characters munching it in the fight with the gargoyles, but nobody gained any SP, only HP. I can send a savefile, if needed. It's version 0.8.16, but I earned the candy earlier when I was still on 0.8.15. Also, I did the ants-quest with 5 team members and Rowinda counts out 5 candies to give them in the end but in the inventory you'll find six. Did she give an extra to Krimm, whom she found to be so nice?
Weirdness/suggestions about graphics (part two)
1) I think renke already pointed this out. When Krimm's flashback ends, her outfit tunnels into the future: (plus her size seems a bit odd in relation to the others)
2) This is a nitpick, but: The group is sent out to the slave-quest for a day in their "downtime"-outfits. However, as soon as they've stopped talking with Chalassa in the streets, they are suddenly in their battlegear. This also happens if you haven't tried the gates out of Dingirra 3 times yet: you set out in the fabric garbs and when you click the gate, all of the sudden you see the elves in their battlegear.
3) Althea's facial expression doesn't match the discussion topic for quite a few frames. Can't remember if this happened with Shea when playing from Althea's POV.
4) Oookay..the bathhouse. If one chooses to click the wolf-paw *after picking with whom they want to talk to* you'll get to see the characters in their "swimwear" on the inventory, etc screens...sort of floaty... except for Jariel, who's not in your party and Vaelis, who's fully clothed. But I thought I just saw him lulling away in the pool? o.O (and Riley needs nipples. Or longer curls in the front for coverage.)
5) Why do I have pic of an axe in my inventory if I own none?
Typos or other literal oddities
+Syphon life-skill explanation: "Steals 30 of single target's hit points and heals himself by that amount." It's Rowinda's skill so 'herself' might be better.
Ants-quest:
+Vaelis: "I wouldn't be so sure about that, but for sure is big." I think this is missing 'it' => "but for sure it's big."
+Shea: "Big like those giant ant that just spotted us! Get ready!" Should be in plural.
+Getting ripped off by Master of the PIts. Shea: "Oh well. At least this time wasn't much gold." Seems like a bit of an odd wording, how about: "Oh well. At least this time it wasn't that much."
+Playing from Shea's POV. After eavesdropping on Master of the Pits and the green-clad man, Shea makes a suggestion to follow them, and Riley supports him: "But she has a point. That really is the only way to find out." Annnnd I'm pretty sure it was wrong the other way around when Althea suggested it... then Riley said 'he' ...
+Galanna-quest: After one of the fights Shea says: "Phew. Fun, when it died it crumbles to pieces..." Tense mixmatch.
+The second messenger arrives: Riley:"A small square with a fountain, in the east of Dingirra." Seems a tad awkward, I wasn't sure when I read it the first time if it was in the Eastern part of Dingirra or to the East from Dingirra... Maybe "in the Eastern Dingirra." ?
+Chalassa's flashback: "This door is different from the others. Is green." 'It's green' I believe.
+When you go to the shady inn near the north gate with Krimm and not looking for Ardin: " Ha! Look that woman! She's taller than you!" I think it should be 'Look at that woman!'
PS. Congratulations! You have finished reading my post or used an agility -hack to get straight to the end!
Anyways, jack, would you like to have an endofgame savefile from that EASY-mode game of mine? Or do you have enough of those?

Re: SOTW 0.8.17 - Second Act Beta!
Yes send a savefile, because there is no reason that would work differently in that case. Should work the same everywherefabulaparva wrote:Oh, I forgot to say in the previous post, that Rowinda's candy was bugged out in in the Galanna -quest. Yes should still have the armor. About the size, she IS bigger than othersfabulaparva wrote:I think renke already pointed this out. When Krimm's flashback ends, her outfit tunnels into the future: (plus her size seems a bit odd in relation to the others)
Well I'm not going to fix that, there are several situations in which they exchange from battle/nonbattle clothes all around the plot, but it's fine. I'm not going to be so nit-picking with all the huge amount of work I still have to do!fabulaparva wrote:This is a nitpick, but: The group is sent out to the slave-quest for a day in their "downtime"-outfits. Haha oops, must disable it during that scene thenfabulaparva wrote:Oookay..the bathhouse. Hmm this was a bug left from Loren's, but I thought I fixed it. I'm not sure how to trigger it thoughfabulaparva wrote:Why do I have pic of an axe in my inventory if I own none?
Thanks for the typos going to check them. And yes sure send me the saves. I never have enough of those
