Haha true I'll also add some better start equipment, makes sense :)
Though the difficulty is already fine, as I already wrote. (or was in 0.8.15) You might have to balance it with something else, like not give them such overpowered stats.

The stats aren't overpowered, some have a few starting attributes more (like Chalassa Agility), but for the attribute amount is because you level them up all at once. So for example 6 attributes x 6 levels =36 attribute points to distribute when they join - that can't be changed since is how the system works. Anyway later in the story there are some more tough fights, so want to see your feedback on normal level when you get to there :)

The number of stat points to distribute are not the issue. When Krimm joins, she has two stats at or near 20, when Shea/Althea have been leveled to around max stat 16. That is: *before* I add the 36 stat points. If the other chars would have stats like Shea/Althea at Level 1 (more or less), plus "free" points to assign, it would make sense. (small differences are OK, not everybody is equally skilled to begin with. The high difference gets noted, though.)

Ah that. Yes I'll change it, but is a thing ran at initialization so AFAIK I can't change those values after the game has started, which means that to see the effect you should restart the game  but yes will tweak them, they were so high because before I didn't think about changing the equipment when they join.

okay, so to get a feeling for the difficulty we should wait for your next release and restart the whole game? or is act 2 sufficient?

Act1 is unchanged (just a little easier in Normal), for act2 the only difference vs the current version is the new char's starting stats. But I checked and aren't that big, I reduced Krimm' strength, Riley Arcane and Chalassa Agility from 20 to 18 and other small adjustment (1-2 points less in some other stats so they're not much more powerful than the 3 snowelves). But I don't think they make such a big difference honestly. The equipment they get is randomized based on quality/level, but even in that case it shouldn't change a lot.
At this point the important for me is that Easy is easy, and Hard but in particular Nightmare are hard to beat :)
For sure I don't plan to spend as much time I spent on Act1 on balancing, otherwise I would simply stop doing RPGs because I could release 1 every 3 years

I'm totally cool with the twins having a little lower stats. From a story PoV I don't really think it makes sense that they should be as capable killers as Krimm, Vaelis or Chalassa, each with heavy combat experience (and a healthy lack of pacifism). More importantly, the +10% HP/SP birthday gift is pretty huge anyway.

On a side note here, I'm having a real blast assuming everyone I find is looking for a fight. I'm the slave cells bully right now. I'm almost a little angry that we question them after we've won, I was hoping to grind slaves forever :D

Hmm the crash is strange, the only condition skill I have during those encounters with slaves is the strikethrough but is a normal attack so I think should work. Anyway will change it to something different. If you can press "L" to enable the logger, so the game outputs a txt file that list all the AI actions including the exact skill name (so I know where's the problem exactly).
