'Skip-mode doesn't seem to be working in 0.8.24.8
When I press cntrl, the text "Skip-mode" appears in the top left corner, but the text doesn't go forward.
EDIT: It starts working for text I've read in v0.8.24.8...but not for text read in the previous versions.

Depends on the options settings (you can set it to work on already seen text or not), maybe if you played the broken renpy beta version it screwed up a bit those settings too

I have two options on the preferences page...skip seen text or for skip
all text. It's always been selected as the seen text for me, so if it's been messed up with, then I can't see it from the options screen as nothing has changed there. I started this particular game from scratch with version 0.8.24.8. The seen text option does not work unless I first save a game, then put on skip all text, and let it run for a while. Then I can load up the previously saved game and use ctrl for skipping through previously seen text when I want to.

.. up to the point I used "skip all text" for, obviously.
If I open up an earlier version of the game, like 0.8.24.3 and load a savegame played with that earlier version, the Skip seen text works normally.
So it looks like I have to "read" the story in 0.8.24.8 either by reading it for real or "reading" it with "skip all" before that "Skip seen text" will work as it used to in earlier versions.
EDIT: Not a big issue for me if this is all there is to this particular side-effect. Just letting you know, in any case.

Yes, the list of seen texts is stored in a persistent file, so my guess is that the renpy beta thing screwed up a bit. Or maybe was the new map update. Anyway, I didn't change anything related to that, so not sure why you have that side effect! at least is not a game breaking bug

I'm quite sure this was caused by the map performance change - but skip all still works ^^

Perhaps an issue with no significance, perhaps an issue with minor significance.....

v0.8.24.8 game all the way. I get to the BigSpider. Kill it. Almost level 6. Guest completed + 100XP levels me up, but the level up-screen never appears. Char screen shows I'm level 6 now, though. My HP/SP are full as well. So I go fight some random trap-monsters. Kill them. Now I get to the after fight/Level--up screen...and I get a bonus HP/SP- fill, as they are full AGAIN!! FUNky!!! :D

I forgot to show the levelup screen after quest was done - this bug was there since version 0.7

but you didn't miss any XP or anything, just the levelup screen that showed up later.

Ooooh, so this is bug is vintage already. Nice.

So I didn't miss anything, but instead of one HP/SP-fill-up for free, I got two!!

Could anyone send me saves for latest version? I did another map speed improvement but wanted to make sure doesn't break the game

If you have saves during various spots is even better, zip them and send them all at once!

Another "minor update" fixing various bugs and adding features. I loaded saves sent by fabula and they all worked fine. This map optimization will have less impact than previous one, but still should be faster. I don't think can make the isomap faster than this though
