Alrighty, will do. Probably best to try to avoid them altogether, lol. In this case, the word could just be there without them, or it could be so-called favors instead of favors and still no need of quotation marks. :P

I am still having troubles with the "true" Legendary items, so maybe will just do it the right (hard) way and add more fields to the database, Quality and Level. Will take longer but probably is better.

good, if you add some fields your hack counter is lowered again (as it's a solution, not a workaround) and we have again the possibility to will you into some stupid extension of the engine :P

Also, obviously, adding the fields to the db, will make all old saves unusable. You asked for it

I'll start pouring the shots...
If at first try it doesn't explode, it ain't Jack who wrote the code.

I *think* it works but I don't have time to replay the game from start. This change will also prevent me from working on ACT3 until someone send me an end of ACT2 save (all my old saves are broken too as result). I guess I'll upload the new build now and see.
Luckily I made good progresses in past week and the artist didn't finish the tileset yet!

I have some time right now so I can do a fast EASY-playthrough and send you a file by tomorrow if that helps. :P

Yes that would help. Also this way if you find new bugs I can see if in the end adding the fixed items is really worth all this crazy trouble or is better if I just revert to the last version and give up

Any wishes for the twins class combo for this new version -runthrough? I usually play with Hunter, but if you rather have Ranger + Druid for your evil purposes, I don't mind (since it's not gonna be on Nightmare, anyway :P)

Okay I just canceled the upload mid-way. Did a quick testing, tons of bugs, even when loading saves (the game auto-update items to reflect changes in the db and is A TOTAL MESS).
In practice we went from:
"boohoo the items shouldn't be marked as legendary" - the ONLY thing that wasn't working this morning,
to:
"after adding more field, breaking all savegame compatibilities and spending a whole morning of work, now the code is a total mess and I have no clue what to do to fix it".

Not a big progress

I'll revert to this morning changes and just use the L to mark the items as "Lore" or find another VERY SIMPLE SOLUTION that doesn't break everything and make me waste long hours for nothing :)

Anyway, I'm so tired now that will probably take a break of 4-5h before working again, or tomorrow.
