It's because is a blacksmith, so should craft weapon/armors/shield - not magic talismans or rings

Even is to be honest a quarterstaff is not exactly appropriate, so yeah maybe I can just change it to a item to weak in the neck slot or something!

Aside from the obvious solution of "add another crafter", he still doesn't need to actually make the items for us when not blacksmith-appropriate. Perhaps he just knows a way they could be acquired or he's willing to trade them away, etc.

For Vaelis the plot specifically says that she forged the item. For the Twins, she just tells them "look what I have for you!!" so could even be not something she forged herself

In other news today taking a break since was going a bit crazy, but I'm almost done with ACT3 coding, I think this weekend I've finished. Then I need to wait for the tileset but in the meanwhile will already begin coding ACT4!

Some news...

Ren'Py framework got a big update that makes the screen system (which is everywhere, in battles, maps, etc) to run faster. I obviously want to use it, the problem is... old saves will break

Since people played this game already a lot of times I'm not sure I need to update the library *now*. I might wait until act3 is done, unless everyone says it's OK to go on with it. I tried a bit and everything seems to work fine, but being a big library update there could be some well hidden bugs.
I can wait and update on release day or later though, since I think there will be more bugfixes to the library incoming in the next weeks/months...

better break the saves sooner - it would be much harder to accept imcompatibilities when reaching the "Act 4 starts now" screen ;)

Well, beta testers are suppose to help to make the best game possible even if they have suffer from it.
Personnaly, it annoys me a little to lose my saves but I remenber thinking several times that I wish the game was faster while playing it so...go for it.

I'm with renke_ and Exizel here. Break 'em. Better now than at the end of Act 3.
also gives me reason to stop doodling silly pics and start building even a better party

I read better as drunker.
Break them now I say. My current party might only have survived the last savebreaker by luck, and I'm not sure the save won't bug sometime down the road. I'd like to make a new one to be sure, so let's not plan to break that one too

I always restart with each new version anyway, because you never know what regressions may turn up.
Just make sure you change the number. 0.8.24.16 doesn't fit with a dramatic engine-changing build. :p

This time was a bit weird - I used "type" as variable which is a reserved Python keyword so yes, was my fault. But in current engine version, all was working fine!! In the new build, gives problems, some saves load but if you go in the preferences it crashes, etc.
I'm going to wait until I finish coding ACT3 though, just in case renpy coder tells me about a solution. In any case is better to wait until the new Renpy version is "officially out" since right now is in beta. But very likely ACT3 release will coincide with using the new library build
